A quick question

by Joe on February 16, 2009 at 5:07 pm 9 Comments

In the last 25 seasons, how many second year players in the NBA have averaged at least 25 points per game?

Answer.

We’ve got something special going on with the young fella.

Well, since the Thunder turned into a decent team, going 11-13 since Jan. 1, Durant has averaged almost 30 points a game. So I don't really think it has a lot to do with that.

Or....he could just be playing on an astronomically bad team. But, I like to think otherwise. :-D

@Royce

Well... maybe we finally got you off that city-sized Portland man-crush thing you were going through a couple of weeks ago...lol

Ha ha...no uniform would make him look fat except perhaps the Michelin Man outfit.

Fave things about Durant:

1. Awesome (other-worldly?) basketball skills
2. Friendly, low-key, humble personality
3. Loyalty to the team and OKC

#1 obviously towers above everthing else (or we wouldn't be talking about him). #2 is just icing on the cake. #3 was the most surprising to me. Even this past weekend in Phoenix, he re-iterated that he wants to play his whole career in OKC. Sure, an NBA player is going to say nice things about the local community (if he has any brains), but he doesn't HAVE TO go the extra mile with those kind of statements, again and again.

We not only got lucky to get a player of that caliber with our first NBA team - we just got lucky all the way around.

So what are ya sayin'? That's he's all good and stuff?
;)
