One incredibly obvious thing that I’m sure we all know but yet I’m still going to point out: We can’t get too worked up either way about anything from these games. Russell Westbrook struggled at times, Serge Ibaka looked really good and Robert Vaden didn’t play hardly at all. But it’s just one Summer League game.
I was certainly impressed with Harden’s skill and assertiveness on the court, but I’m not ready to say he’s an All-Star. What if he goes 2-10 with six turnovers today? You just have to keep it all in the proper perspective. I hope to see Russ a little more in control today, but it’s not like he played bad yesterday. Playing with mainly guys that aren’t exactly “pros” yet, he still put up 22 points and nine assists and while he had four turnovers, three of those were in the first half.
I think Westbrook will be entirely shut down at some point, and I have a feeling he’ll play a little less today. But I hope to see him a little more adjusted to his teammates and to turn it over and be in control of both himself and the game a little better. And I want to see Serge Ibaka dunk on someone’s face.

I'm sure Livingston can handle back-to-back, but the guy has been in the league for quite a few years now, what good does back-to-back Summer League do for him at this point?
I'm sure they wanted to give him a run and see the progress he's made with his knee and then go from there.
I'm also certain that Watson will be out before his contract expires, unless there's just no takers for him.

Its summer league... Why are we going to play him a ton in summer league.
I think in playing shape he will be able to handle the 20 or so minutes a night he will be getting...
If Livingston can't play in back to back summer games, can he handle a full season as the full time backup? Might not want to get rid of Waston just yet?
The Box Score lists it as a straight up DNP - Coach's Decision instead of DNP - Sore Knee (Ankle, Shoulder, etc).
Seems like they just watned to hold him out.

this stuff is great entertainment - I thought I'd get a crappy look because of my Fred FLintstone computer - but I got to see the whole game virtually uninterrupted . . . what else can a hoops fan ask for in July?? we got to see all our young guys play - the announcers are great - can't wait until tomorrow . . .
Yeah, Harden had a good look, overall, I'd say it was successful, if only for the mcroberts humor and the music at the end of the game

Oh, I know and I agree. I'm just saying that when it comes to his shots (and his shots only), most of them will come when he already has the ball, anyway. Something tells me Scotty won't be calling a lot of plays meant to get Russ a set shot.

some people just can’t get in rhythm unless they’re on the move. I was always a better shooter coming off a screen or just pulling up than I was setting in the corner Bruce Bowen style. I was always in better form while I was on the move. Wouldn’t surprise me if Russ was similar
the problem is that if you can't shoot set shots - it's hard to have a drive and kick game - a shooter has to be able to sit on the weakside and wait until the ball gets to him . . . if RW can't hit that weakside three then his man doesn't even have to bother to rotate back - he can sink in the lane and cut off the drive every time . . .
