Oklahoma City Thunder (2-1) vs. New Jersey/Philadelphia Scrapple (0-3)
Time: 2 p.m. CST
Watch the game HERE!!!
Tony Meija hinted in an article on Tuesday that Russell Westbrook and D.J. White may sit out the last two days of action, so we may not see them today. But we don’t really know. James Harden sat the first half yesterday, but I’d imagine he’ll see a solid amount of playing time today as well as Serge Ibaka who didn’t play at all (he was just resting). And who knows if Shaun Livingston will dress as he sat Tuesday after playing Monday. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Kyle Weaver played much, much better yesterday scoring 12. He asserted himself and played point guard for a lot of the day. He’s desperately trying to develop a consistent 3-point shot, but for the most part, he’s just taken forced threes. Robert Vaden went 1-7 yesterday so I’m sure he’s aiming to come out and impress. And we can only hope that if Moses Ehambe gets in, he at least fouls someone or turns it over.
Tip at 2 p.m. CST.

If Weaver gets the reps, he will be a solid NBA player. He does a little of everything. He is very, very valuable on the defensive end of the court.
@tbird26p
knock it down a bit to 10-12 points and i'd feel ok with that
Moses Ehambe's stat sheet looks like binary.. but with 2's instead of 1's...
@tbird26p
That doesn't look unreasonable at all. I'd guess he won't score quite that much his rookie year, but 4 rebounds and 3 assists seem about right from our starting SG.
@Bryan
18 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 3.5 turns, 47% shooting. Give me that anyday. In fact, give me that and I'll call him a legit star.
I think Harden will average 16 points 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Yay? or Nay?
Screw the dentist i got my video to work but i had to %$^@#*! leave.
@Keith
with a block, two steals and 4 rebounds
I'm hoping a lot of these turnovers are the product of there being no system and having out of position teammates, but still disconcertings.
On that same note, I have much less of a problem with Russell averaging 3-3.5 turns per game if he is also averaging 9 assists and 47% shooting.

@GAP
And it probably won't happen, unless they can clear out some of the dead weight at guard and sign him cheap.
is the box score out yet?
@Bryan
If mason is still in a Thunder jersey, yeah.
Or maybe an all-defense rotation just to break the other team's rhythm. Maybe Weaver, Thabo, Mason, Collison and Kirstic?
This is actually the best played summer league game to date. Just think after every game they got better together and more cohesive...there's still a small problem with some of the lineups they trotted out there (Vaden,Weaver,and Russel shouldn't play together ever!)but all in all they're growing together and that's all I can ask for.
If they continue this growth throughout the summer league, even in LV, then we can count on grabbing atleast 40 wins next year just by playing as an cohesive unit and the brotherly comradere, not to mention KD,Green,and Krstic's added talents and we should be pretty nice next season.
@GAP
Thabo is listed as a 3. Of course we know he can play the 2 quite well. I see a variety of different sets, including with Harden running the point for size, a la Harden, Thabo, Durant, Ibaka, Kirstic. That should create some martch up problems. You could even sit Durant down for a min, rest both RW and Durant, playing Green at the 3. All size for a few minutes just to piss them off.
It'll be better when I can DVR the game on NBA tv next week.
GAP :@Daniel Switch Thabo and Weaver and I could live with that for a season.
i only put weaver at 2 and thabo at 3 because thabo is an inch taller than weaver. But i suppose they are interchangeable.
Well that was thrilling...didn't see hardly any actual play
See y'all tomorrow at 5am Hawaii time.
@Daniel
Switch Thabo and Weaver and I could live with that for a season.
3-1 in Summer League. Nice game gentlemen. BJ Mullens 18 points, Russell doing whatever he wanted to out there and Serge Ibaka strong inside. Good stuff.
Once again, I am at work and this blog and comment thread acts like a make-shift Bill Simmons live blog. And yes that's a huge compliment. Can we dress up like zombie sonics for games and really take this to the next level?
Harden runs the pick and roll like a seasoned vet. I've been impressed with it ever game we play. Just hits the bounce pass between defenders and leads the cutting big every time... very saavy
Jax Raging Bile Duct :My feed is so choppy, I just see freeze frames. Dante and Galante come through fine, but it’s mostly unwatchable.
Yeah for some reason my two laptops with WiFi are not doing well with today's feed. Now I'm on a desktop hardwired to the internet and its fine.
PG: Russ/Shaun
SG: Harden/Weaver
SF: Durant/Thabo
PF: Green/Collison/White
C: Krstic/Ibaka/Mullens
Lock it up.

What a pass by Harden.
@Daniel
Really like his game too but man is his on the ball defense bad haha
pretty pass by harden. we are just reaming the scraple
BEAUTIFUL PICK AND ROLL JAMES AND SERGE>> SERGE SLAM!!
Serge Ibaka can be a player on our real team this year. I love his game. Slot him in right behind Krstic.
russ and serge, really playing well
UCLA vs UCLA. Russell is making Jrue Holiday look like a 2nd grader.
@nick
I agree, sheeesssh!
serge, that was quite possibly the worst attempted catch ever
Looks like these guys enjoy playing together, unlike the Scrapple.
good god, what got in to byron nelson bj mullens?
Holy putback jam BJ!
Mullens with the SLAM!!
He's "plugging" who all day?
@Daniel
Yeah, hahaha didn't know it was you...it's encouraging anytime Russel can hit a catch and shoot that could be the start of something beautiful.
Time to park Russel for the day
GAP :Hey Anonymous, Russel for 3!
Anonymous was actually me.. sorry was using different computer.
But yeah, Russ is playing great. Of course it's Summer League, but encouraging nonetheless.
It's funny how everyone says Harden isn't athletic. I've seen him dunk more than anyone else this week.
Can't watch at work. What are Ibaka and RW's stat lines looking like? It sounds like, from the comments, that theyre both doing awesome.
Serge looks great
russ hit a catch and shoot three! what?!?!
Hey Anonymous, Russel for 3!
I'm sold on Ibaka i'm getting his Jersey!
