I’m an Eric Maynor fan. I loved him at VCU and I kind of sort of wanted him with the second pick last June. And while I realize Maynor is not Chris Paul or Isaiah Thomas, I do think he’s a perfect fit behind Russell Westbrook and I love that the Thunder are one step closer to an almost completely solidified long term rotation. So introduce yourself to Maynor if you don’t already know him. He’s quite a ballplayer.
If you were on this site perusing the content you know that Royce and I loved Eric Maynor last year before the draft. If you would have told me that we were getting Harden, the "eyebrow" Mullins AND MAYNOR in the same draft I might have wet myself. That's just crazy brilliant by Presti, and only to have to give up a partial salary for Matt Harp and Livington and Wilks.......jeez, I am peeing right now.
But even more than that, if you show me any, repeat ANY Youtube video with THE VERVE as the background music to the vid it just can't possibly in any way get better than that. Period.

Athletic , quick and long defender. Just what Presti wants. Opposing Point guards get Westbrook, Maynor, and Sefolosha to deal with. That makes for a long night trying to set the offense.

I think Westbrook starts, but like Krstic, he might start losing some minutes if Maynor plays better, ala Serge Ibaka. I think Westbrook has more of a wow factor, but Maynor definitely looks like he might be more consistent...
I wonder what will happen if Manyor starts to play better than Westbrook? Would coach have the guts to start Maynor or is Westbrook destined to be the starter no matter what?
As a Carolina and Thunder fan, I couldn't like any move more than this

I can't wait to get to see our team with Maynor in the rotation.(with my own 2 eyes!) I hope we still come out in full force tonight. If not, I hope to be upgraded to the lower bowl, like when we had The Hornets. It was nice to hook us Loud City folks up with a closer view. The blizzard is over!! Merry Christmas!! I like the enthusiasm, Troy! I think we are getting close with this team... If Westbrook continues to develop into a reliable PG then I think we just need some better 3 pt shooting and a bettter big man... Everyone on this board is convinced we need Chris Bosh. Either way it Is exciting to be following this team right now.
I'm from Seattle and still pissed our team is gone but thats old news, I've been watching the sonics since they won a championship in 1978 and The 90's were fun with Kemp and Payton, so close but that's a whole other story. I feel like the Thunder are still my team anyway and that being said it's looking like a good run coming up, they are very close to being elite. I think by next year even if they don't sign anybody they could be championship level. Sign Durant, Green, Westbrook, Give Harden ,Maynor, Ibaka, and Mullens a couple years ,Keep Sefolosha, Kristic, Collison, make some more good trades and draft picks and I think they can win it all a couple times. Now give us the team back Clay.
