We’re all still recovering from the butt-stomping from last night. So in the meantime, maybe you’d be interested in checking out this story. I didn’t really want to mention it, but Mrs. DT told me to and frankly, she was a little pushy about it. She was also pushy about wanting to trade our Lady Gaga tickets for Game 6 passes, but I had to put my foot down somewhere.

I got 2 tickets in section 102 for tomorrow I need to sale. Will be out of town and can’t go and I have been offered $300 a piece for them but the guy is a Laker fan and I don’t want a laker fan there. If you are itnerested email me at osulingo@yahoo.com.
Royce...I love reading your posts. I think this is a WONDERFUL way to get infomation on the game. I will spread the word. :)
Just got a chance to read the article. Congrats, you deserve some recognition! I first read DT when PL&T came here from TheLostOgle (I guess this is a shout-out to clark), but since then, reading Dt has been the first thing I do when I get to work in the morning, and TLO has kinda taken a backseat. I get excited when I get tweets about new posts, and I get anxious when I run out of things to read (probably because I then have to work). Keep up the great work!
I had given up following the Thunder on the intra-web until I stumbled across your blog. I can now honestly say you are part of my daily routine. Keep up the great work!
Royce, I'm a fellow sports journalist from the University of Hawaii who now works in a TV newsroom. I think you do a fantastic job. Keep up the good work man! Go Thunder! ALOHA!
I have avoided newsok.com for commentary about the THUNDER. This site is a one-stop shop for me. Thanx DT! I would send subscription $$ your way if I had it, THE US DEPT OF EDUC. gets all my loose change... WILL YOU SETTLE FOR MY ONGOING SUPPORT?
KUDOS! I've just recently become addicted, and I love it! Oh yeah, Mac Rocks!
Congrats on the well-deserved recognition. I'm a pretty infrequent poster, but definitely check in here multiple times a day for my Thunder fix. As a Longhorn, its always tough for me to give props to our neighbors to the north, but you do one hell of a good job with this site. Keep up the good work sir.
Congrats, Royce. Im a big Thunder fan from Michigan and try to get to your site a couple of times a week. You're doing a great job and I hope, as we all do, that the Thunder can dominate the next 2 games.
Roll Thunder!!!!
This site is the first site i go into when i open my eyes in the morning and last one i check before i go to bed at night,so maybe im a little crazy about our franchise but youve down a fantastic job with it Royce.Great articles,great humour and most importantly the love for this team.
Ive already told you Royce that this site has been an integeral part of my everyday life over the past two seasons and it will continue being for seasons to come hopefully.
Keep up the good work!!!
DT is unquestionably the best NBA blog site around. We Thunder lovers are grateful to have a great writer cover our team. I hope this leads to a national position with a magazine, I think you are that good.
@Dylan
I swear I'm not that pale. I think they were going for some kind of lighting effect or something.
Keep up the great work Royce! This place is like home . . .
Really nice article. It makes me kind of proud to look at a pregame thread and see 400-600 comments after a game and then go to some other truehoop blogs and see 15-20.
Though, if i were you, i would have at least tanned before the photoshoot. Maybe you were going for that twilight thing to lure in some female readers.
I must admit that I spent a year in the dark about the Dailythunder. I believe it was the championship last year that I found this site. I have been hooked since. You guys have done such an amazing job. Also the community here is amazing. It has helped me get me sports blabbering out to a great community without having to talk to my wife about stuff she does not care about.
Yeah, what a nice article for "our" blog and "our" publisher. Thanks for posting it.
Royce, what you may not realize is that whenever you/DT get good press, WE, the readers & contributors vicariously get that good press, too, because you are OUR guy and this is OUR site. So those kind of favorable articles make us feel every bit as good about the site we love as it makes you feel awkward. Keep 'em comin'.
Separately, I thought I recognized your name from somewhere - I graduated from OU in 2009 and, whenever I read the newspaper, generally read the sports section. Just couldn't place it until now. cool.
Keep up the good work, you shameless self-promoter! ;)
I was reading The Gazette and saw your write up there. Good stuff. You need to get paid by the Thunder for this great blog. Cheers!
GO THUNDER!!
@girlballer
Well then how does Jay Mariotti keep his job?
I kid. Kind of.
@Royce Young
A nice "smile inducing" personal interest piece was just the ticket to direct some attention away from the pain of last night, and reflect on how far we have come together. Take the compliments, if you sucked, nobody would stick around :)
I didn't post this to just provoke a bunch of compliments, but I sure do appreciate them. And this site wouldn't be what it is without the great community you guys have built. I genuinely think the readers and commenters deserve most the credit.
You Rock Royce! (And Joe and J.G., Mrs. Daily Thunder, Jon @ Tree&Leaf, your mom, your neighbors, basically everyone who helped make this thing happen....)
I was looking for a way to waste countless, normally productive hours at work, obsessively reading sports analysis and creating an internet persona.
But seriously, this is a great thing you have done here, I agree with Jax, "brother best be gettin PAID soon!!!"
Keep up the great work, you are very talented! DT has been a must visit site to get my Thunder fix.
Why bother. This blog is like a sports sections because of all the different writers and posters. I think it's a really credit to your personality that you do not mind sharing the responsibilities of this site with Joe, and J.G. in order to display the different ways to analyze and enjoy this team.
@tim
yeah i stopped going to them, they are pretty clueless
You deserve a lot of credit. You got one thing wrong, though. At least for me, you are the primary source of info for all things Thunder in the state; don't be taking a back seat to the Daily Oklahoman!!
@Jax Raging Bile Duct
thats partially why they started the t-shirt thing.
I hope you get some sponsors Royce. It's nice that this is a labor of love right now, but I would like to know that a fiscal reward was finding it's way to your household.
Lindsey :
Congrats!
Wait–so your wife wants to trade Gaga for Thunder and not the other way around? Why are you resisting? THUNDERDOME!!!
i guess we know what royce likes
I don't even remember how I came to this site, but I do remember thinking 'Not bad, I'll stick around for a bit'. Thanks for the job you've done here, Royce!'
royce,
i pictured you taller.
You do a great job Royce and keep up the good work and GO ENERGY/BARONS!!!j/k..... Thunder name has grown on all of us I think.
That quote about being humbled was from the Kevin Durant school of responding to interview questions. Awesome.
Congrats!

I'm a Mac guy too. I think if you go to the OU school of Journalism you have to be. It's pretty much all they have.
Damnit. Now I need to go update yesterday's post. Congrats.
(By the way, I still like Thunder World better.)
I've never posted, but have been reading the blog religiously during this past season. As I read the comments, I've tried to envision that there are many others like myself that generally don't post, but do read this blog, nonetheless. I find the comments here to be in good taste and as a tremendous moderator, you are the reason it remains that way.
Keep up the good work. This is a classy site.
Everyone knows that I made Dailythunder what it is today. You're welcome.
Sidenote: You do excellent work here, Royce. Keep it up.
Next Week: A picture of Royce driving a Prius
@Boots

I can't even read every post. I just found a Daniel Orton article from earlier this month. Apparently, I'm missing a few here and there.
Royce Young :@Justin
Which is why I’m better than all of you.
Not me, I'm MAC all the way baby, viva la MacIntosh!!!!
andrew :Haha the mac thing is the first thing i noticed too…

*GASP* HOW DARE YOU!!! lol... aww i bet the wifey is soo proud..
p.s. you suck you dirty mac user! ;P
Nice article. I very much appreciate this site, my first stop for OKC Thunder news. I know I speech for almost everyone here when I say that I find Royce and the other posters here much more knowledgable on this topic then Traber, Humphreys, etc.. on the local news.
I may not comment as much as I used to... but I still read every post. Keep up the good work!!
you're the man, royce.
nice article Royce. You don't get the credit you deserve for making DT what it is. Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication!!
