When ownership decided to name the team “Thunder” there were mixed reviews. I’m not a fan of the singular team name idea, but some really liked the possibilities it created with marketing, game entertainment and puns (you know, Thunderpuns). The team’s name, logo and colors were announced with the song “Thunderstruck” playing overhead and since then, some variation of the song has stayed with the team.
And you can expect for the next however many years of the Thunder’s existence, “Thunderstruck” will be part of it. (I truly think part of the reason the team was named that was because of that dumb song.)
Well, now there’s a new song. Sub out Thunderstruck. It’s time to get Thunderbusted.

They let the domain name expire. Probably an accident as it looks like it's been registered again today. The site will be back up later today or tommorow is my guess.

My favorite mash-up, coincidentally, also included the Ghostbusters song (which also happens to be one of my all time favorite movies). The Ghostbusters theme mashed up with Kelis' Milkshake. Ridiculous, but tons of fun. I first heard it at the Conservatory before mc chris performed.
My other favorite was Gold Digger mashed with the Menamana song from The Muppet Show.
Because I enjoy things that are fun and try not to take myself too seriously, guys!

Am I the only one that has our opponents playing this song after a road playoff series loss? "Thunder Busters" as in busting our team? Maybe its just me, I might be biased cuz I like the ACDC song.

Would there be any way to get Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson to show up to the games if we did this? I'll be honest, I would fly down to OKC just to have those guys come out in Thunderbuster costumes to lead the team onto the court.
That would be a fun song occassionaly. If they played it too often, I'd go nuts.
