Eric Maynor has been busy this summer

I’m sure he’s been working on his game some, but by the looks of it, Eric Maynor has spent about 92 percent of his time at the tattoo parlor. He tweeted this picture today:

Between him, Perk, Thabo (The Game Chose Me, ya’ll) and the hidden tattoos that KD has accumulated over the past year underneath his shirt, our once clean cut Thunder are starting to pile up the ink. I used to make the claim that the Thunder had to be the least tatted team in the league, but that’s probably the Indiana Pacers now.

Go back and look at a lot of guys that are covered now. They didn’t come into the league with them. Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Kenyon Martin, The Birdman — all were built up over the years. So we might see the same thing with the Thunder. In three or four more years, Nick Collison might have “Free Charge” tattooed across his neck.

You never know.

NBA Tattoos

New Orleans Hornets are the team with the fewest tattoos (only two players--David West and Trevor Ariza--have them). In contrast, almost two-thirds of the Thunder have tattoos (9 of 14 players), putting them above the league average. In fact, only six teams (Knicks, Lakers, Bucks, Pistons, Heat, Celtics) have more tattooed players than them.

@ Bryson Maynor will look awesome in that sleeve. Don't hate. But wow, i never had any idea Kevin Durant had tattoos. That is crazy/weird/surprising.

Westbrook outplayed our entire team, including Durant, in the elimination game. Since we're playing the 'look at one game in a 100+ sample size' game.
