The Thunder react to the first two weeks being canceled

by Royce Young on October 11, 2011 at 3:03 pm 37 Comments

By failing to reach a deal at the last minute, the NBA has canceled the first two weeks of the season. Which is a total bummer.

And it’s not just fans who are venting frustration though. A few Thunder players took to their microphone — Twitter — and put out their thoughts on the big news. Here’s what they are saying:

I bet Nate has no idea what happened yesterday.

I take issue with the type of tweet Mohammed did and so I wrote a column about that for CBSSports.com. Basically, I don’t think this “Let Us Play” stuff is at all an honest representation of the players’ situation. I tweeted that last night and KD disagreed:

It is bogus. He’s right. But I don’t really care. Good money is on the table regardless of it’s 47 percent or 53 percent. I understand the players’ position and it’s the reason I side with them. But trying to make us feel sympathetic for them with their “woe is me, just let us play basketball mean owners!” is insulting.
