Eric Maynor injures right knee against Houston

by Royce Young on January 7, 2012 at 8:00 pm 3 Comments

Early in the fourth quarter, Eric Maynor went down with what looked to be a pretty serious right knee injury. He was driving hard to the basket and jump-stopped when his knee buckled. Video of the injury is above, and it’s not pretty.

Maynor was in a pretty obvious amount of pain and had to be carried off the floor by his teammates. As of now, there isn’t any official information about his injury, but it looked bad. He will be evaluated Sunday in Oklahoma City and the team’s medical staff will run all necessary tests on it and then announce the injury and timetable. Updates coming whenever available.

Eric Maynor is a great player, seen him in a few games, will probably be like Sam Cassell. Maynor is one in a million...we're going to have big shoes to fill next year. Hell, what am I talking about...there's no filling Maynor's shoes...he's the gold standard. ~ELLISA:)

Just watched the recap of the Thunder game on NBA TV and it looked like a nasty knee buckle...hope Eric is OK....if he's out I'm not sure what our options are and the backup point...EM is an integral part of the team and this could have a devistating impact....
