The NBA released a couple new commercials today, including one featuring Kevin Durant. And I must say, bravo NBA. You’ve done it again. But then again, put KD doing anything where he drills a jumper and I would say it’s the best thing I’ve seen since the last KD commercial where he hits a jumper. You could tell me Francis Ford Coppola directed this and I would believe you.

@SammyThunderer So basically, we all need to chill out. What we think we know, we really don't. We're only 20 games into the season. We need to stop being so emotional about every little thing that happens with this team. The Thunder could regress to the mean and we all think we understand every nuance of the team and we all have valid points, but it's all an illusion. And finally, Sam Presti has taken considerable risks such as drafting Russ at #4 and James at #3, but he may regret extending Perk for as much money as he did.
Is that about right?
@Daniel Hawaii I hardly think that's the main take away here.
@SammyThunderer@Daniel Hawaii I prefer to see losing by those four 3s in 1min 23 sec lapse, as we played a horrible game from beginning to end, as a positive (glass half full) then the doom many fans feel here.
We all need to step back and remember this happened to the Thunder in the playoffs against the grizzles GAME ONE at HOME.
Its OK to be shell shocked.
Let's see how they respond.
@Daniel Hawaii@SammyThunderer Perk pays for himself if we have a series against any strong center.
@Daniel Hawaii@SammyThunderer In that game I think if we had played better defense alone we could have won with only those two carrying the load.
@Daniel Hawaii@SammyThunderer But that game against the Clippers clearly showed Russ and KD are worth their contracts.
I just went over to the DenverStiffs.com message board. They are apparently very unhappy with Arron Afflalo's play so far this season. He's averaging only 11 pts and has a PER of 11.00. He had 8 pts tonight and just 5 pts against the Clippers. This after signing a contract extension for $43 million. Nuggets fan are losing patience with him.
@Daniel Hawaii Hahaha.
Still love that we got WB, he playing much better now...
@ThunderWins Many players play worse after cashing in on a big contract. I'm glad Russ (so far) isn't one of them.
Vote for thunder vs warriors next Tuesday on nba tv
Man, Dallas is also looking hot coming into our game.
@ThunderWins Vince Carter is playing well. He's had 21 points in each of his last two games. I hope Thabo can go.
@Daniel Hawaii I hope KD doesn't overhelp off Mr. Carter.
@Daniel Hawaii I am glad someone else remembers the play just before KD, hit the game winner!
Just like the dunk contest. Serge had more impressive dunks. Blake didnt even jump over the top of the car. I can jump over the hood. UGH!
@OkcBaby Dunk contest was rigged. Breathing Kia Commercial had to win.
@ILikePancakes@OkcBaby Its FRAUD to have a sponser for ONE contestant.
what extra would we have to give up to trade thabo for tony allen?
@OBoy As an OSU fan I would love to have T.A. on this team. That'd be a dream come true.
@OBoy Rather have Thabo. We need bench help.
@OkcBaby got any ideas on who?
@OBoy right
@Daniel Hawaii@OkcBaby Aaron Brooks will be out of our price range right?
@OBoy@OkcBaby I heard the Clippers were a heavy favorite to get him. He won't come to OKC when we already have Serge and Nick ahead of him at PF. I'm sure he wants to play, not sit on the bench. Also, if there's any chance he'll affect the chemistry of this team in any way, Presti won't bring him in.
@OBoy they are in the running. Would be nice to get him as a rental this year.
@OkcBaby isn't he deciding who he's going to sign to soon....most people believe he will play for the knicks
@OBoy Kenyon Martin for vet minimum
@OBoy I would rather have Thabo.
idk thabos poor shooting isn't what bothers me he has bad offensive instincts where on the other hand i have no idea how tony allen puts up 15 on occasion but he does it
regardless we probably can't get him
@ThunderWins i'm not ready to believe its actually thabo that has this huge impact, i think it just throws off the rotation, puts harden in a spot where he cant get into a rhythm and makes cook play too many minutes
i think if you replaced thabo with another defensive stopper that has a little more offense the team would be fine
Jackson better be getting tons of reps and get going we need him NOW!
@OBoy Its absolutely shocking to me Thabo means this much to the team. What are we going to do if we don't have him for a long period of time?
@OBoy Tony allen is a key part of their team. They won't give him up.
Kemp would dominate Griffin with ease. Not even close. That dunk on Perk wasnt even as good as people say it is. He used Perkins for leverage with his off arm to push off and threw the ball through the cylinder
@OkcBaby I am not sure it wasn't offensive foul either.
@ThunderWins@OkcBaby like i told a friend yesterday, after the "dunk" since it was in flop city, and since it was blake, he could of walked over to the stands, punched a child, flipped off the thunder, and then chugged a beer, and he would STILL get that and one lol . he clearly pushed off perk to get one of those posterizing moments. Thats pretty much all blake can do for the moment. get nice passes and dunk.

@deleted_1998213_Don'tStoptheSergeing Griffin gives no effort on D, has no other arsenal on offense except dunking. And has knee problems. When his athleticism wears out, he's done.
@deleted_1998213_Don'tStoptheSergeing Totally. He's an explosive athlete but you need more than that. What will he be once he gets a little older and loses some of that athleticism if he doesn't develop some more post moves? He'll be about the 8th man, coming off the bench.

@deleted_1998213_Don'tStoptheSergeing YES!!! Thank you Memphis! Denver is still without Lawson though, right?
Never mind. Just checked the box score. Looks like Lawson played. Memphis beat a healthy Denver team.
@deleted_1998213_Don'tStoptheSergeing Yeah, watched the OT. Finally some good news.
Being an OKC fan has been brutal for me today.
A co-worker just came up to me and said "Newt Gingrich got destroyed worse than Kendrick Perkins did last night."
Ouch.
@Daniel Hawaii To everyone who liked that play I have a question, say Griffin started just jumping up and pitching the ball in like that from other positions on the floor. Say he could do that out to 10 feet where he jumps, gets his head parallel with the rim and chucks the ball in. If so, would that be impressive? Would you consider that a dunk? Would it be cool to watch a guy just jump up and pitch it in? Of course it wouldn't. At that point it would be like a higher flying version of that flip shot Shawn Marion does. People should calm down and stop calling this the greatest dunk ever. This isn't even Blake's best dunk ever. People overreacted to the Mozgov dunk and now people are overreacting even worse because a couple of his fingers happened to graze the rim.
@Old Man Game @Daniel Hawaii Too bad serge wasn't in place of perk there... Would have been a different story I believe
@Old Man Game Shawn Kemp would destroy this kid.
@ILikePancakes@Old Man Game Yea, Shawn kemp would destroy Griffin
And now, something we all can (or should) agree with:
Blake Griffin On Kendrick Perkins, And 5 Dunks That Were Much, Much Better

I hope we can win champion by our lineup because it would be the team with the worst big men and coach.
It can destroy old basketball theory in which big men get more respect than they should get.
But getting Howard is the easiest way to win champion.I dont think those big market teams can give HOward and Magics more than us in basketball. He has half year to play his movie or sell shoes like KD did last year.
@shiki Yes, Shiki's right. I think the notion that you have to be in a "big" market is a narrative fed by east coast media. The reality is that in this world of Sportscenter and the internet you don't have to play in a big market to be a global icon, what you do need is to win. Ask yourself, who's a bigger star and got more endorsements last year, Aaron Rodgers or Matt Sanchez? One plays in New York and was an also ran, one plays in a very small market but won the Super Bowl. It's truly no contest.
@Old Man Game@shiki I made that exact same argument (Aaron Rodgers, movies, commercials, etc.) last week. I really think if we got Dwight here and he was able to see how our organization runs and the fan support he would get and got to see the character of the teammates he'd be surrounded by, he would commit here long-term.
@Daniel Hawaii Exactly, and if winning and playing basketball isn't his number 1 priority then maybe we don't want him after all.
@Old Man Game If winning really is his #1 priority, he'd be stupid to not want to play here for the next 4 years.
@Daniel Hawaii I think so too. KD's no bum. Russ is no bum. There's a reason those guys were happy to re-up here. Because if you want to play basketball this is a great place to be.
