Durant to replace Joe Johnson in 3-point contest

by Royce Young on February 22, 2012 at 1:56 pm 3 Comments

Because of left knee tendinitis, Joe Johnson will not be partaking in All-Star Weekend, so Kevin Durant will be replacing him in the 3-point contest. Rajon Rondo was named Johnson’s replacement for the game.

This is the second consecutive year for KD in the 3-point contest. Last season in Los Angeles he didn’t perform all that well only scoring seven points and finishing last. (Here’s video of KD’s performance last year.)

On the season, Durant is shooting 36.7 percent from 3, which ranks him 61st in the league.
