@ILikePancakes cake walk man. After looking at the thunder schedule, you can tell they meant it to be rough for the "up and comers" . Kinda like, earn your stripes thing. Considering with the condensed season, limited practice time, injuries, and back to backs, our guys have done amazingly well. Some games we SHOULD of won, but considering we ARE going to the playoffs, im happy.
damn carmelo hit a pretty clutch-ass 3 to send it to overtime. Rose looks so rusty out there

Melo putting on a show against Deng. KD did it last Sunday. Is Deng a little overrated as man-to-man defender? (I'm looking at you, Crow.)
@diddoff Deng is a pretty strong 1-1 defender at SF (not as clear cut at PF) but a good portion of his defense value is probably as a help defender. Melo is pretty big and strong for a SF. Maybe he does better when he has a clear size advantage. Melo has the strength edge. KD the length edge.
@diddoff Overall Deng's defensive impact is one of the best in the league according to RAPM.

@Lost Ones @diddoff yeah, though one would think that would hurt offense more than defense. i guess it probably would hurt rebounding, which is a pretty big part of defense.
@diddoff the announcers seem to think hes one of the defensive players of the year. so :P we def need crows wiseman like stats for this

@LPCes99 yeah hopefully they pass houston and clippers pass lakers, so we get houston then clippers/dallas, and the spurs end up with denver then lakers/memphis
I know he plays on a terrible team but Mullens looks like a new person in Charlotte. Really happy for him.
@diddoff his numbers are still horrible, worse than every center on our team.
@f5alcon True but Charlotte has made him the starting PF now (at least for the last 5 games) A few good scoring games are not that surprising given his high usage and being on a team the opponent doesn"t really fear and may not play against very hard but big men are a gamble and he is a somewhat interesting young gamble.
@f5alcon his "april" numbers are heavily influenced by one strong game against milwaukee.
@f5alcon He is in the bottom 20% of most broad measures for guys 6-10+. He has gotten the opportunity to have a fairly high usage (top 15% in the league ) and fairly high minutes. He got his shot. Some don't get it as fully or at all.
@f5alcon April is young but he increased his shots at the rim in these few games to 5 times the level he had at the very start of the season. Maybe Silas finally convinced him. In April he gets shots at the rim at a rate equal to Westbrook and top 10 in the league. If he keeps that up he is a new Mullens. It will probably fade at least some but wait n see.
@f5alcon His shooting flashed hot but certainly cooled off. not bad from 16-23 feet but no longer above average. terrible from 3-15 feet.
@Crow his rebounding percentages are not great and he is only shooting 44% from the floor. ibaka and collison are shooting better.
It looks like Golden State is gonna do for the Thunder what OKC couldn't do for themselves: Division Champs!
@qrex I'd say we did the lion's share of the work ourselves by getting to 40 wins in the first place. It's like we've piloted a jumbo jet on a cross-country flight, but we still needed the guys with the headsets and reflective sticks to wave us up to the terminal.
