I've seen a German team lose a big game on penalties. Now I've seen everything.

No bullshit, no pretense, no fake.

Good on ya, KD.

Think the Spurs will get the L.A. referee treatment we got last night?

That crew was so great last night they'll probably be sent to Indiana tomorrow.

I know this will seem completely random, but blame it on Pancakes for mentioning Ireland the other day.  My version of An Old Irish Blessing for tonight:

May the road rise up to meet you.

May the refs and Lakers stay (literally) off your back.

May the arena lights shine warm upon your face,

while 3s rain softly through our basket.

And until we meet again,

May the basketball gods hold you in the palm of their hands.

@OBoymuzik Hey hey hey you don't talk about Kobe like that.  He was AGGRESSIVE in getting blocked on his jumpshot cleanly.

You didn't see how AGGRESSIVE that elbow to Beard's face was?

@todayisbananas Well it all started when we went on a liking rampage... and the refs didnt appreciate it so they started calling horrible fouls

Who goes to bed during a Thunder game?  We almost always go to the final buzzer--sometimes two final buzzers.  :)

That Kings team was stacked man. I mean Hedo, Paja and Gerald Wallace weren't even their best players, kinda crazy to imagine how the careers of those 3 went on.

I absolutely LOVE this picture of KD.  The caption says it's during the national anthem, but I think they're wrong; it's during the invocation.  He always looks up.

in regards to the video up there. How can you NOT love KD. *unless hes hitting game winners in your face or silencing a philly crowd :P *   We are so lucky to have a guy like him playing here. I'm glad he loves being here in oklahoma too :) .  Its scary to me that hes not even at his peak yet. Most of our team isnt to be honest. Russ, ibaka, harden, cole, DC, they all have room to grow.

THUNDER UP man. lets take back our series.  Luck the fakers.

tonight, we wash this taste from our mouths. No way the lakers shoot 41 free throws, only missing one. that game last night was the definition of one sided bs.  Thunder are the better team and last night SHOULD of been a blow out.  Thunder in 5

Not Thunder related, but I wish Harden was the baller they chose for this.  I guess the problem is that Harden is too tall to fool anyone.

If Fisher stared in this, he wouldn't even need makeup *rimshot*

It's been 10 years since the vastly superior Sacramento Kings were vanquished from the playoffs facing the Lakers in the most controversial series of all time. I saw a little bit of this last night. The Lakers shot 42 FT's, made a biblical 41 of them, made only a handful of FG's in the 2nd half and went on to win the game. I am starting to lose my faith in this league. The officiating has been so bad this year that I think not a single ref should get paid next season. I don't know if there were orders handed in by David Stern to "help" the Lakers or what but here is an interesting stat...the line on the game was 2.5 to the Lakers and the o/u was 196. The Lakers won by 3 and there was 195 points scored in the game. If that's not fixing I don't know what is.

SB718
SB718 5pts

@C_Dub I don't know about conspiracies per se although that Sacramento Screw Job can never logically be explained.  The NBA just employs some really bad referees that they generally don't hold accountable for being terrible at their jobs.

Old Man Game
Old Man Game 5pts

Still thinking about the refs and not just last night, this whole season has been atrocious. I have come to one conclusion, the only way you're ever going to clean this up and ensure that there is never an appearance of bias is to turn some of the officiating over to machines. That may sound crazy but 10-15 years ago if I'd told you you'd be able to control your video games or tv without even touching a controller that might have sounded crazy too.  We need total impartiality for this league to ever be as strong as it has the potential to become. Machines will call the same game whether it's Kobe Bryant or Lazar Hayward with the ball.
