ESPN put together a terrific feature on Russell Westbrook that gave a deep look inside his life, his past, where he comes from and what drives him. What makes it great is this is the stuff Russ likes to shield. I adore Westbrook for the way he plays the game, and even off the floor because of his restrained bravado. But this is a little bit of a glimpse into him, which I really enjoyed.

I keep finding myself looking forward to the Spurs series (bad Bryan).
If the boys can get it done in game five, I think Brooks will find a way to slow down that
Spurs offensive machine. But, so much of the defense falls on Russ, Thabo and Harden stopping the ball. And everyone else (especially KD) has to stay home on shooters..... The Spurs kill us because because Russ and Thabo have a hard time stopping the ball, everyone over helps and next thing you know someone has an open shot or put-back.
They have to play hyper-physical, straight up, man-man defense and steal game one in San Antonio. They HAVE to. Russ has to be a pitbull, not a honeybadger.

I also wanna see KD on Parker in spots to throw off his rhythm. Kevin is a damn good on-ball defender with his speed and length. They are gonna have to use him on the ball when it counts, especially when Thabo is not on the floor.
the only thing lakers did well in their offense end was their FTs,too many FTs with too high FT%.
if those refs sucks again at our home,I hope Nazr stops fouling on bynum because no matter what you do he can get 2pt, but too many fouls will hurt our clutch defense.

Yeah, if I'm betting money on it I'm betting on the Spurs to win a hypothetical match-up with the Thunder. That said I hope the Spurs don't think it'll be as easy as it was against the Clips. And when you've got the kind of offensive firepower OKC has you just never know what could happen.

OKC can't afford mistakes or bad shooting nights against the Spurs. And they have to figure out how to stop the ball while still (somehow) staying home on shooters and boxing out their bigs.... which is how Memphis did it. They played them straight up and played them physical.
I'm pretty sure Coach Pop has a hot potato rule. Once the offense is initiated, you never, EVER see someone hold onto the ball for more than 3 seconds. It's just drive n kick until someone either gets to the rim or someone gets an open shot. It's like a great high-school motion offense with NBA-players pulling the trigger. Not much room for error if you're defending it.

The Spurs have weapons all over the floor and don't run some gimmicky offense. They are the real deal. We really should have thought more about HCA because we ain't winning either of those first two games in SA.

@OKCBornandBred i find it frustrating that someone can get paid millions of dollars to play a game and not have one of the easiest and most basic skills for said game.
I think some of our guys that compete to shoot free throws during the timeouts might have a better percentage than some of the professionals we've seen lately.
