Happy Saturday. Thank you for your support of Daily Thunder. Thunder it up.
KD had quite the lockout summer. He played flag football, worked out, played basketball everywhere, worked out and played more basketball. The Mars Reel followed KD around and made this pretty cool documentary about Durant hooping all over.

Hey Royce would you be down to play in a bball team?
Getting ready to go to the Peak and hope I can with some tickets at the Thunder Rewards!
@tomkar98 Good luck man. Hope you get in.
I'll say it straight: If we will win this game, we will go to the finals. If we lose, we won't.
@ILikePancakes I LIKE PANCAKES TOO! In fact, I LOVE THEM!!
random but I'm watching the OU rugby team on the nbc sports channel lol
Thunder are 4 point favorites tonight
So i've been thinking, but hows about the people who live in the OKC area, and even like the Mid West City, Edmond, even Norman area. Why don't we make a basketball team and play in a weekend league or something? I'de be down for it. Just don't let me shoot outside of 18 feet.

@MisterJohnsonOKC awesome!!so! SO now We got 4. We need 5 more. We also have our commentator/reporter/cheerleader in TC.
@ElMexiThunder I'd be into that during the school year, which is when I'm actually living in OKC.
@ElMexiThunder Limited basketball skill here . . . I'll stand on the sidelines and shout Brian Davis-isms to go with the action--or maybe ask you guys Kelly Crull-type questions when you're finished. :)
@ElMexiThunder I'm down lol
Isn't this all because Harden and Lil Wayne are in some high school type love triangle with Trina?
@anonymous12345 I think so.
@ElMexiThunder @anonymous12345 Feels like an unnecessary distraction.
Wayne, Wayne, go away.
Come again......not....any day...
All this criticism of Westbrook and the Thunder offense is ridiculous and so frustrating. We had the number 2 most efficient offense in the regular season. But you say that the playoffs is different, right? I suppose so because we have the NUMBER1 most efficient offense in the playoffs. Imagine if all the NFL 'experts' came on and said "I'm sick of this New England offense. Tom Brady is throwing WAY too much. They need to run the ball more." That's obviously an idiotic criticism.
@FF_pickups I think the main criticism is that our offense doesn't always maximize possessions efficiently. On the whole our offense is top three in the league, but that's predicated a lot on fast break opportunities and defensive stops / run outs. We're one of the best, if not the best, in transition. In the half court there are legitimate issues, which have cost us games in the playoffs (Spurs game one).
@justin_mia
Yeah, your criticism is exactly what I was talking about. It's absurd. And the Patriots offense isn't great either. The Packers were below average running the ball, they need to scrap that system. smh
@FF_pickups Westbrook seems like he's been playing pretty well in these playoffs to me. He pretty much won 2 of the games in the series against Dallas and help immensely against the Lakers. What's the problem?
I'm just going to straight up say it. Lil Wayne is a #!%@&. I figured he would pull out that racial card too. Guess it doesn't matter that Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Xzibit, and Jay Z have all been to Thunder games. None of them got special services or sat front like he wanted. It just soo happens none of them complained either.
@ElMexiThunder Cant expect to come to a playoff game on a days notice.
Lil Wayne CBS article: http://www.cbssports.com/nba/story/19237492/lil-wayne-feels-unwanted-at-okc-arena-wont-return
T_T
@C-Wil Same AP article. Great photo, though.
@todayisbananas @C-Wil The glasses make him look, um, smart
@Keith00 @C-Wil @KellOne @todayisbananas Almost every comment I've read on every other article is all about how the Thunder did the right thing.. I don't think anyone (besides Lil Wayne and KayDee) really thinks that the Thunder or OKC was being racist in any way.
@C-Wil @KellOne @todayisbananas Anyone who READS the article and thinks that is an idiot. Anyone who does read or just bandwagons on the idea and thinks OKC is racist is also an idiot.
That said, the media calling OKC racist or isolationist isn't the worst in the world, it will blow over by the finals. I'm from Detroit, you can imagine the worse and more economically damaging things said about my hometown.
@Keith00 @KellOne @todayisbananas The national media will spin this to the point of OKC being a racist, hillbilly, isolationist community that wants nothing to do with people that aren't their own.
@KellOne @todayisbananas @C-Wil Are we supposed to feel bad that Lil Wayne wanted preferential treatment in getting someone else's seats and the team said no?
@KellOne @todayisbananas They might have let him in if he was a known Thunder fan who doesn't switch favorites every week.
@todayisbananas I'm not afraid to say I listen to some of his raps but at the same time.....he was going there to cheer on the Spurs. He even admitted as much. A guy worked his ass off to secure those court side seats and is most likely a Thunder fan and Weezy wants to get them so he can rally against OKC? No thanks.
He also said Miami was much more welcoming and he could hang out with Bron and the likes. A bandwagoner like him is perfect for Miami so maybe he should just get ready for that Game 5.
@C-Wil @todayisbananas I dont think he was going to the game to cheer against the thunder, the organization turned him away and that was his reply. I dont really look at him as a fan of any team *shrugs*
I am seeing a lot of comments about this story that just reinforces what every black person thinks about OKC. Charles was being cute, but he wasn't joking. Do better.
scratch black. replace with minority.
@KayDee
lil Wayne is not representative of black people, KD, Harden and Westbrook are. You think those guys can't get seats at any event in OKC for the rest of their lives, you're fooling yourself. We aren't racist, we just don't like Lil Wayne. Plus, he dissed Jay-Z, a known NBA owner. We'd give Jay-Z seats but Lil Wayne is just not a big enough star round here. He's small time in OKC.
@FF_pickups Reading is Fundamental they play for the Franchise OK's only Basketball franchise. so therefore, OBVIOUSLY they would have clearance anywhere.
@Lost Ones
I said any 'EVENT' in OKC, not Thunder game. Maybe English isn't your first language?
@FF_pickups @KayDee well KD harden and westbrook happens to play for the franchise so obviously they would
@FF_pickups @KayDee if some random white celebrity did what lW did they would be told the same thing. It's not like other tickets weren't available. He was offered them and he refused. This isn't about a man being denied entrance to the building because he's black.
Lil Whine still goin: http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8000194/lil-wayne-says-feels-unwanted-oklahoma-city-thunder-arena
@KellOne Lil Wayne and the war on drugs . . . :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9QisdRPwEM
@ThunderChick2010 Even a Christina Aguilera dig, nice
@KellOne I can only speak for myself. I don't want him. Or anyone like him.
@todayisbananas @KellOne What exactly do you man by "anyone like him"?
@KayDee Think of the least offensive possible meaning of "anyone like him" and apply it. That is called a charitable reading.
@todayisbananas @KellOne Idk what you meant by the second comment , but I cant blame anyone who wouldn't like lil wayne bandwagoning ass in the arena.
@KellOne this guy.
Miles Plumlee measures 6'11.5" in shoes, 247 pounds, 5% body fat, and a stunning 41 inch vertical, according to Chad Ford. Going to need a third center with Nazr not coming back.
anyone know how early you have to show up to possibly get tickets.
Did you guys hear Stephen A. Smith implying that the reason why Lil Wayne didn't get courtside tickets was because of an anti-hip hop bias in Oklahoma City. BOOOOO! I hope if Lil Wayne gets in tonight, they boo him!
@FF_pickups There's a tiny steakhouse in Amber, OK that is only open on weekend evenings. First come, first served . . . no reservations--everyone waits their turn in a literal line. We once stood in line with the governor. No kidding. I've always admired them for that! (I don't see Lil Wayne being willing to do so . . . )
@ThunderChick2010 @FF_pickups Been there, done that. Ate the food, burped loudly. (well maybe not, but it was dang good!)
@ThunderChick2010 @FF_pickups They do.. oh, they do.
@Tronchaser @FF_pickups It's about like those Denver people to conspire to keep you from your team . . .
@ThunderChick2010 @FF_pickups This work isn't from OKC, they know me better than that. This is our Denver bases work that they need us to bail them out on. My hatred of Denver does not merely extend to the Nuggets, but also to the work ethic of the people in our facility there.
@Tronchaser @FF_pickups What planet is your boss from? Doesn't he/she know the THUNDER is playing?!?
@ThunderChick2010 @FF_pickups Unfortunately, I'm unable to go tonight. I got called into work (oilfield stuff). I haven't missed a home playoff game yet, and I'm hella pissed.
@Tronchaser @FF_pickups Got your tickets? You'll be relieved to know that I decided to go--even though I'll be dead-tired tomorrow. (Taking one for the team . . . )
@FF_pickups And he was probably right. THe only reason why OKC supports the Thunder is because they do not look like JR Smith, Kenyon Martin, and the previous Denver "Thuggets"
@KayDee @FF_pickups come on man, chill
@KayDee @FF_pickups Maynor has sleeves, KD has tattoo's all over his back, Harden has some. Perkins has them on his arms too. I don't think that matters. Its more of we don't want head cases then "Thugs". Also OKC's underground hip hop movement is bigger then ever now. Don't spew trash when you have no clue of what you speak of.
@FF_pickups Anti-hip hop. Code for "You racist hillbillies!"
@FF_pickups It's more the "You ain't all that" bias we have. Buy a ticket, walk in the same door and get to your seat like the rest of the humans do. He wanted the show to be about him. It's not that we don't like him, we just don't care about him one way or the other, although I'm sure his stock is sliding in okc's eyes since the lil baby started crying.
