Gregg Doyel of CBSSports.com: “‘Get this straight,’ Russell Westbrook sneered at me, and already I liked where he was going. Whatever came out of his mouth next, I was going to deserve it. You were going to deserve it. Most of us were going to deserve it, because most of us have been critical of Westbrook even as he has played more than 40 minutes a game at point guard on a team that has reached the NBA Finals and even briefly led the series after one game. Those days are gone, just like the trophy is almost gone. The Heat now are in command after winning 104-98 on Tuesday night to take a 3-1 series edge. This could be all over Thursday night — but not for Russell Westbrook. For him, it will continue. It will continue because people like me, and people like lots of you, will continue to critique him for all those nights when his game was so damned confounding.”
Kelly Dwyer of BDL: “Which means we’re likely due for another close one in Game 5, even if I just reminded you that we probably shouldn’t be looking at any potential facet of this series as likely to happen in the future. The Thunder can take a close one. Then it’s another one, in Oklahoma City. Then, potentially, another one in Oklahoma City. The trick, as we’ve known for years, is to take things one game at a time. But if OKC takes Game 5 …” Elias: “Russell Westbrook is the 7th player to make 20 or more FGs in an NBA Finals game, and he’s the first of those players to lose.”
Henry Abbott of TrueHoop: “Westbrook didn’t monopolize the Thunder’s late mistakes — Sefolosha took a sure-to-miss, almost-at-the-baseline 3 with a minute left — but he will monopolize the discussion of their mistakes, despite a simply wonderful game overall.”
J.A. Adande of ESPN.com: “Not only did all three of the Thunder’s players come together at the right time, they’re playing together at the right time — now. Had they won Game 4 to even the series, they would have happily taken a situation in which they only needed two of the remaining three games. But two out of three star players isn’t cutting it. The truth is the Heat’s way is the Thunder’s way, in function if not process. Only the Thunder’s way isn’t working.”
Ethan Sherwood Strauss of HoopSpeak: “Russell Westbook created and ended the possibility of Oklahoma City victory. It’s difficult to process within the context of “blame.” Russell Westbrook is the reason Oklahoma City had a chance to win. Russell Westbrook is the reason they lost almost any chance of winning. Both these statements are true. He knocked over his wonderful sandcastle, and we’ll never quite grasp why.”
Darnell Mayberry: “Unless something changes and changes in a hurry, James Harden is going to have nightmares about this series for a long, long time. Eight points on 2-for-10 shooting. It’s inexplicable at this point. He knows exactly how the Heat are playing him, yet he seems powerless to do anything about it. Definitely didn’t see him being next to a non-factor offensively in this series.”
Andrew Sharp of SB Nation: “He can’t be a fearless, Iversonian scorer capable of sometimes sabotaging the offense AND a great teammate that respects his coaches. He can’t be the occasionally blackout drunk point guard AND the catalyst for everything that makes the Thunder offense so unstoppable. That just doesn’t make sense to people. And that’s Russell Westbrook. He will never make sense, because everything that makes him frustrating also makes him great. His reckless drives, the transition jumpers, the raw emotion… People love it when it works and hate it when it doesn’t, and he’s not going to make every shot, so this roller coaster will probably go on forever. In the Finals it’s all magnified. But Russ doesn’t really change.”
Eric Freeman of BDL: “Westbrook has earned a great deal of criticism for his score-first tendencies and extreme aggressiveness, but this game showed why that approach has helped him become a perennial All-Star. With his customary mix of lightning-quick drives and mid-range jumpers, Westbrook had the Thunder in this game until the final moments. That he failed in those moments shouldn’t be forgotten, but it also shouldn’t completely overshadow what he did in the game.”
John Schuhmann of NBA.com: “The foul was dumb. There’s no other way to put it. It brought back memories of Josh Howard‘s timeout call in Game 5 of the 2006 Finals on the same end of the same floor in the same arena. That one also kept his team from getting a good chance to tie (the Mavs had to go full court in 1.9 seconds) and also put the Heat one win away from a championship. Brilliant performance. Brutal mistake. And Westbrook continues to be a lightning rod for controversy.”
Tom Haberstroh of ESPN.com: “Russell Westbrook was a wrecking ball early and late, destroying the Heat defense with laser jumpers and furious paint attacks. He established a new career high in points (43) and gave the Heat whiplash seemingly every time down the court. But alas, the Thunder can’t win with James Harden playing like this.”
Sebastian Pruiti of Grantland: “The James Harden of old would have made the catch, attacked the space in front of him, and gone from there. Instead, Harden let two Heat defenders cover three Thunder players on a key possession. Oklahoma City coach Scott Brooks drew up a great play — it just wasn’t executed, and that hurt the Thunder. With Miami struggling to score late (only two of their remaining five points came from the field) and LeBron James fighting cramps, a made basket here would have put a lot of pressure on the Heat, and who knows what would have happened then.”

I am so proud of The Thunder team, keep ur heads head HIGH. I luv u guys as a team.....I know next year the title will go 2 OKC.....I feel the referee cheated, made dumb calls!!!!!!!
I hope the Thunder remains the same as a team, God Blessed
If were talking trades I'd rather turn Perk + Cole into Javale Mcgee. He's showed against the lakers that he could shut down or outplay Bynum, which is the whole reason we have Perk. He is young, the second best shot blocker in the NBA. and has good enough hands to rebound and finish at the rim better than anybody currently on the roster. With Pleis Coming from Germany we can afford to do a 2-1 center swap
Hot off the griddle. COME AND GET IT!

Source Confirms that OKC asst GM Rob Hennigan has been offered the Orlando Magic GM job
If harden even shows up somewhat this series could be 3-1 our way
I see a lot of Harden/Ibaka for Love talk...There is no way the Wolves do that trade, Love would take at least Westbrook and Ibaka, They possibly wouldnt talk without KD being mentioned, just will never happen
@tygablood Westbrook/Ibaka would be the more likely of situations, but the Wolves would do it for Harden/Ibaka and its more of a possibility then probability. Harden/Ibaka fits who the Wolves have as personal as well.
@ElMexiThunder I think they would laugh at Harden/Ibaka...Love is the franchise their, he is essentially KD to Minny, Harden and Ibaka are nothing more then good role players, Westbrook would have to be included.
@Eggs_Benedict give it a shot:
http://www.twolvesblog.com/forum/minnesota-timberwolves-den/85180-trade-draft/Page-8.html
Is there a T'Wolves board? Someone should run Love for Ibaka/Harden and a pick over there and see what kind of reactions that would get.
@ElMexiThunder @JimboSlice @tygablood Of course Love > soo much better than Nene.
@Eggs_Benedict @JimboSlice @tygablood Yeah, but Love >Nene so much that it's not even funny.
@Eggs_Benedict @JimboSlice @tygablood I would get soo happy when Uncle Jeff had to miss games because Ibaka would get minutes. I will never forget those games where KD and Jeff were gone.
Russ/Harden/Ibaka looked so beautiful playing together. It was like "Why don't we play these guys together more ?"
That game at Boston were Russ, and Ibaka pretty much took the game over, and that game at the Bucks, where Ibaka and Harden took over.
@ElMexiThunder @JimboSlice @tygablood But, I do like all this talk focusing on improving our front court. Love/Dwight, even the Nene discussion some of us were having the other day - we desperately need to improve our front court rather than our guards (Terry,/Billups talk).
@ElMexiThunder @JimboSlice @tygablood I was so happy when they were forced to start Ibaka...
@JimboSlice @Eggs_Benedict @tygablood Lol, That is kinda sad to say. Sometimes i forget it took us trading Jeff Green to get Brooks to start Ibaka.
@ElMexiThunder @Eggs_Benedict @tygablood we could too if we just played him more than Derek Fisher
@JimboSlice @Eggs_Benedict @tygablood
Yup, that's why i'm saying Harden/Ibaka. I don't think Minny would do it, but those guys fit their personal, and it isn't a bad trade. Adelman would turn Ibaka into something else trust me on that.
@Eggs_Benedict @tygablood Dwight is the best center in the league miles away but SVG isn't that bad. I think we actually need a coach like SVG. Its easier to get Love because as much as you don't agree theres much chance of us giving up everyone except our two main pieces for him, then giving up one of our main pieces for Howard.
@ElMexiThunder @Eggs_Benedict @tygablood but he's not a gamechanger in the same way that D12 is. Russ + anything for Love is entering into "going backwards" territory
@ElMexiThunder @tygablood Dwight is arguably the best C in the league. And Dwight isn't too big of a headcase, I mean, SVG gets on my nerves too.
@Eggs_Benedict @tygablood Love is the best PF in the league, and isn't a headcase like Dwight.
@tygablood @ElMexiThunder I agree. Although I would love to get Love, Harden and Ibaka wouldn't get him. Westbrook would have to be included, and I wouldn't want to get rid of him unless someone like Dwight was being mentioned.
@tygablood I wouldn't say they consider him their KD. They didn't offer him the contract he wanted. Harden isn't a role player btw.
Rashard Lewis anyone ? He'a gettin bought out and would make a great KD backup assuming he doesn't care if he starts, james can then move to the starting lineup
@LPCes99 id be for it, he should be down for a big pay cut since he has basically been stealing money over his last contract
Can we start to blame KD for not being able to either shed Lebron/Battier or atleast be able to draw fouls?
@PatMatteson At least he was mediocre. Harden has been beyond bad
@OkcBaby Agree completely, but I would like to see KD be able to intelligently signal to the ref that he is being pushed around.
LOL

@OkcBaby LOL YESSSS
@OkcBaby HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
oh hey guys
@OBoymuzik i was about to start a search party to look for you
@tydude the site hasn't been working for me this afternoon
Free Throw Attempts thru 5 games = Thunder 93, Heat 103
@BallSoHarden Westbrook last game had 1 FT attempt and he was aggressive as hell
@BallSoHarden Another important stat is who took the FT attempts and at what time did they get to the line? This is to see any correlation if the Heat/Thunder got their calls in certain times of the game and how it affect leads
Kevin Love for Harden and Ibaka, straight up? Make it happen! Throw in a Jerry Sloan and we got us a team of the decade type thing going on. Get that crafty veteran in Jason Terry who is servicable for like 2-3 years and we get that championship pedegree to get it done!
@thelaughingwiseman kevin love for james harden? how stupid do you think minnesota is?
@OBoymuzik and Ibaka, hell even the Clippers pick. He does have a 4 year deal though. Can he opt out in his 3 year or something?
@thelaughingwiseman If you have to consolidate talent to save money, you get a real difference maker. Not a fantasy basketball all-star.
@moriarty84 What do you mean? He was snubbed for most imporved or even MVP consideration. This dude produces 25 points 13 rebounds and can be a constant Pick and Pop/ Pick and Roll player. He is consistent with his shots. He is a great passer for a Big man too. He has the ability to out dual an PF because he's the best PF in the game
@moriarty84 @thelaughingwiseman Kevin Love does compliment Durant and Westbrook. That's the reason so many of us love the dude.
@moriarty84 @thelaughingwiseman I agree with your last sentence, but how is it that Love actually ISN'T a better fit than Harden/ Ibaka. Just wondering what your reasoning behind the statement is?
@thelaughingwiseman His rebounding would obviously be a plus, but his scoring would be redundant (and not an upgrade). A player pair of Harden and Ibaka given that we already have Durant and Westbrook is a better fit than Love and another 2 for a variety of reasons. If you're going to make a move, you get someone who will make the team better by complimenting the pieces in place.
Our boys need one game to bring us it home. We will take it from there.
Sources are saying that The Orlando Magic are in advance talks with OKC asst GM Rob Hennigan to make him Franchise's New GM
@tydude maybe Presti and Hennigan can come together on a Dwight Howard trade
@tydude only if they take Scott Brooks, Mo Cheeks, and Rex Kalamian with him will I be happy. If not, eh, not too bummed. We lost Cho and continued to draft well
