It took a minute to get warmed up (or a half), but Team USA obliterated Tunisia 110-63 in their second game of the Olympics. And while the Thunder’s trio didn’t produce anything all that notable (KD had 13, Westbrook 11 and Harden 10), all three played solidly and did their jobs.
Russell Westbrook got loose a bit in the first half, running in transition, flying in the paint and hitting pull-up jumpers. Harden hit a few 3s and Durant once again picked spots well.
But the highlight of the game came after one of Team USA’s many second half dunks when KD unleashed this:
I don’t know what that is or what it’s called, but it’s definitely my new favorite thing. It’s like a mix of KD’s free throw shimmy and “The Bernie.”

you know what makes me sad, if this was brooks coaching this team, he would of stayed with that starting line up and we would of lost :P . i hope brooks has a notepad and is taking notes like...hmmm..ok so if that line up DOESNT work, you sub out, gotcha. and here i thought subbing out was when they got fouls *smh* lol

I think KD being with these older players on the Olympic squad might have an impact on his TSN maturation. I like the dance and the shimmy as well. I would have loved to have seen this dance and then severals slaps to the head of Chalmers in Game 5. It's easy to dance against a beleagured Tunsian team, but at least this is a step in the right direction. Did Tyson Chandler slap KD's ass in this video or am I seeing things?

With all this dancing, shimmying, and ass slapping....I'd really like to see KD draw blood against Chalmers on the X-mas game. Anyone can dance against these stiffs from Tunisia, but I'd really like to see KD prove to me against Chalmers on X-mas he's coming out of his TSN baby stage. So every other year we have the Olympics followed by the FIBA World Championships in basketball. Now Stern is wanting to discuss the idea of having an age limit of 23 in the Olympics and then creating a World Cup type of event for basketball. Am I missing something here or isn't that what the Workd championships are for. Around the world the FIBA World is a really big deal. I just don't see how creating another tournament will create anything near what the World Cup creates for soccer.
@Jameswade99 i think it is fiba's idea.they want the fiba world champion(now it has new name "basketball world cup") to be the top game of basketball.and they have plan to change rule to make it close to NBA's.

@jdstorm @shiki According to ESPN Radio show "Mike and Mike" this morning this is Stern's desire. His job as commissioner is to run the NBA on behalf of the owners. The owners would prefer their stars don't play in summer tournaments for fear of injury. Stern recognizes the ever increasing popularity of the game world wide and believes that the NBA and FIBA can work together to form a "World Cup" that would be greater than the Olympics. He even wants the NBA to re-consider the "goal tending" rules and possibly relax them to mirror the FIBA rules.
@Jameswade99 The Fiba Worlds is basketballs "World Cup, " it just has a lower profile. David Stern is just a control freak who likes to do things on his own terms . If there is a way for him to Overthrow FIBA and become the worlds Basketball Dictator He's going to try.
@jdstorm I totally forgot. I think that was in this last CBA. The owners get to have guaranteed profitability, the players get less money, and Stern gets to rule the basketball universe. Ah yes. Now I remember. It's all coming back to me now.

Curious what people think the main thing we need to improve on for next year. I think its passing. Esp against a team like Miami that loads up the strong side, we have to be able to do what we did against the spurs consistently.

I missed the entire game today cuz of work and I can't seem to find it on tape delay anywhere. Was the game as close as the score or was it a blowout and we let them crawl back to within 40? I only ask cuz the line was 55.

Just saw KD's dance move (missed the game). Were CP3 and LBJ getting on KD for the dance? Couldn't tell since the clip ended. Could see the Tyson Chandler butt slap, which will cost him a few man points.

@ThunderChick2010 I remember what a big star Strug became after that. She was on the cover of Time magazine and appeared on Saturday Night Live. It really captivated the nation the way she held it together with the injury and still got it done.
