The final run in group play for the United States and it’s one that could really set a tone for the knockout rounds. The U.S. takes on a strong Argentina side that they beat only 86-80 in an exhibition last month.
The U.S. has basically already locked up Group A even if Argentina wins. With the first tiebreaker being point differential, the Argentinians would need to win by 110 points to overtake Team USA. But as always, it’s USA basketball and losing isn’t an option. After the close call against Lithuania, it seems like Team USA might be a little bit ready for this one.
