Another new Foot Locker commercial, this one featuring Chris Bosh, Russell Westbrook in a blow-up canoe, and Kevin Love and James Harden on a blow-up yacht that took ’bout six years to inflate. Two-for-two, Foot Locker.

@Tronchaser
Godspeed.

KD is obviously the best actor on the team.
@D@nny LOL thats messed up
http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/college-sports/baylor-bears/20110211-why-some-scouts-think-baylor_s-perry-jones-possible-no.-1-nba-pick-should-stay-in-school-.ece it has perry jones comparison with blake griffin
This draft video of Harden is also awesome, especially the interview later about the beard: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aoeWNhhuD0&feature=related
guys fast forward to 1:45 on this video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVuZkD-YtBY
interview with harden in his rookie summer league..you'll see why its so funny
@OBoymuzik Johnny Flynn, Hasheem Thabeet....
Who does Harden think he is, the GM of the Timberwolves?!
@alvarex in his defense the next center picked was byron mullens haha.
But yea that was bad.
Side note: Sergio Llull, the more than decent guard from spain? Drafted by the nuggets 34th in 09...with our pick :(
There is nothing more fun than tooking at old drafts and complaining about what we should have done in hindsight
@persiansooner13 @alvarex
I think you might've been too busy partying to come here on your birthday, but here's us celebrating without you. Hope you had a good one!

@alvarex looking
@OBoymuzik
A 'beetle fan!
I respect the fact that everyone needs to make a living, but Royce, read the OU preview currently on the CBS sports front page & say that's a site you're proud to be associated with. Two obvious mistakes (Saunders eligibility status, Whaley's injury) & numerous oversights. Bush league.
good article by Zach Lowe on the good and bad post players in the league over the last 2 years
here's the part on KD
"Also improving incrementally: Kevin Durant. He shot 38 percent on post-ups in 2010-11 and devoted a small number, 6.2 percent, of the possessions he finished to post-up plays. That spiked to 10.4 percent last season, and Durant shot a solid 44 percent on his post-up chances. He ranked 20th in points per possession from the post, and if he continues to hone a Dirk Nowitzki-style foul line/elbow post game, the league is in serious trouble."

@OBoymuzik Was honestly expecting perk to get the dubious distinction of worst post up player due to his insanely high turnover rate and his insanely low fg percentage. Maybe he didn't meet the qualifiers for that article?
@JimboSlice @OBoymuzik Probably not enough attempts.
@OBoymuzik his length and wingspan is better than most of 3 or 4 players in this league.If he can improve his post-up skill to Kobe's level,his stat and offense of thunder can get much benefit

@MisterJohnsonOKC @OBoymuzik If Hakeem can find some talent from JaVale McGee,maybe he can find something better from KD.
Sitting here watching this ESPN 30 for 30 "Once Brothers" on Netflix about Vlade Divac, Drazen Petrovic, Toni Kukoc and the Serbian/Croatian war. A question occurs to me, Whatever happened to the Croatian national team? They used to be one of the best teams internationally and now you don't hear much from them. That's seems to be the difference between our team and the rest of the world. A country here and there will get a few good players and compete for a while but once those guys are gone they fall off. Whereas the U.S. just reloads and keeps going. It'll be interesting to see what happens to the Spanish team once the Gasols careers end.
@Old Man Game Maybe DARIO SARIC will be another Toni Kukoc.
@Old Man Game From what I've heard/read there aren't many internationals coming down the pike from anywhere. We might have seen the peak of bball as a international sport.
@Old Man Game Good point, as USA did have a few down years with the "Iverson" era. Still waiting for China to reload with another Yao.
@skyline We sort of took if for granted for a while and didn't play as hard as we could or send our best players but there was never any doubt who actually had the best talent in the world. It was just all about getting our "A" talent interested in playing.
I like that we have our own NYC insider with Tricia_Status.
Awesome.
@Tronchaser I'm from NYC tooooo sigh
@AllDae @Tronchaser LOL yay...DT NY support group. What part of NYC?
@Tronchaser
Hey, are you packing the sunscreen--or do I need to?
@ThunderChick2010 I think you may need to. I'm a very light packer (guy style). My mentality is that I can pick it up on the way if I need it.
When I go to Thailand, I normally have a book in one hand and my ticket in the other. I'm kinda weird!
@thunderatom Hmm, yeah you see them occasionally. Dogs are everywhere over there, especially in the farming areas where I stay. I don't know how hard it is to get one of the ridgebacks though. I'll ask my bro today.
@Tronchaser how hard is it to get a thai ridgeback?? do you see them often?
Thank you. You should take the time to see it. I thought it would be a waste of time being silent and all. Quite the opposite..it literally blew me away. An epic love story. You're right--I do have a big, soft heart. But when i'm on the air crunching my TSN numbers...I'm a heartless prick....all business.
@Tronchaser @El Prez
You obviously are in need of our collective movie knowledge.
@El Prez
The Artist? (didn't see it)
@Tronchaser
You won't regret this one! And it has the El Prez seal of approval. :) Gotta say it's pretty tame by EP standards--and proves he's got a big soft heart under all that TSN talk.
@El Prez but how do all those movies compare to THIS?!?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xECx-42Wlho&feature=related
Tron--I'm a movie addict. I can't help it.
@ThunderChick2010 @Tricia_Status I was about to say the same thing!
TC, what was the name of the silent movie which won best pic? I thought it was excellent and deserved to win Best Pic. The Descendants was excellent though.
@ThunderChick2010 I may have to dig it up and watch it sometime! I bow to the collective movie knowledge of my fellow DT'ers.
@Tronchaser @Tricia_Status
2001 points? Take that, cemitten! :)
@Tricia_Status Pretty common term over there. Quite a large group of males that think and dress like women. /shrug Although if you've never heard of that term I can see how it would be pretty amusing. :)
I enjoyed The Descendants. With me coming from a dysfunctional family--it hit me hard at several points in the movie. The George Clooney character turned out to be a really good guy--I thought. I liked the way the movie ended with Clooney and his two daughters sitting on the couch and eating ice cream. You had the feeling they were going to work things out.
Long ago--I used to think Clooney and Brad Pitt were just beefcake pretty boys, but not so anymore. They're two of my favorite actors.
@Tronchaser
Sometime in 2011 as it was up for Best Picture last time--and should've won! It was excellent, really. The Hawai'i post earlier made me think of it . . . there's a conflict between the temptation to sell/profit greatly from some long-held family land and the desire to preserve the land and what it stands for.
@Tronchaser LMAOOOOO can I stop and laugh a moment at "ladyboys". Never heard that term...ever.
@Tricia_Status what's funny is when me and my bro go to a shop/store they will offer "farang" prices (farang means foreigner) . Which is like 3 times higher than what it should be. When my bro breaks out the fluent Thai they come down REAL quickly. Like in seconds quickly. There are lots of farang living in Thailand, mostly old dudes who are after the young girls or ladyboys.. They also don't bother learning the language for the most part.
@Tronchaser you go to thailand every year?!
Can you teach me how to hustle? LOL
@ThunderChick2010 Nah, never heard of that one. I'm not a big movie-goer-person. When did it come out?
@Tronchaser
And one more to further delay your packing . . . Did you catch this one? Probably my favorite movie of last year:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-3FWLv4-wA
@ThunderChick2010 THAT IS ME TO A TEE! lolololol I sooooo do that in airports.
@Tronchaser
Do you pack light, travel efficiently, and have a thing for slip-on shoes?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uNPpFZLelE
@ThunderChick2010 I suppose I should pack......or something.
@Tronchaser
Henceforth to be known as Wiki'i ?
@ThunderChick2010
Spelling of state name
A somewhat divisive political issue arose when the constitution of the state of Hawaii added Hawaiian as a second official state language: the exact spelling of the state's name, which in the islands' language is Hawai'i (the apostrophe marking a Hawaiian consonant, a cut-off of breath before the final i). In the Hawaii Admission Act that granted Hawaiian statehood, the federal government recognized Hawaii to be the official state name. Official government publications, as well as department and office titles, use the traditional Hawaiian spelling, with no symbols for glottal stops or vowel length.[10] In contrast, some private entities, including a local newspaper, do use such symbols.
Straight from the source... ya'know - Wikipedia!
@Tronchaser @thunderatom
How did I go my whole life without ever seeing Hawai'i, but have seen it written this way several times just recently?
@thunderatom Every year except this one. Hawai'i this year. My brother and his family live in Northern Thailand not far from the Burmese border. Great friendly people there and even better food.
@Tronchaser do you go to thailand often? there's a dog there i want.. lol
