Happy Saturday. Thank you for your support of Daily Thunder. Football!
In 2005, Kevin Durant and Ty Lawson’s AAU team from D.C. took on Blake Griffin and Sam Bradford’s team from Oklahoma. Random, but in a randomly cool kind of way.

Yeah I think OU is gonna lose that game.

@MisterJohnsonOKC Marshall is bad but you and I both know WV is going to be no joke. Their offense was built for Big 12 play and they're going to show it this season.
@MisterJohnsonOKC @C-Wil My bro-in-law and I are trying to go to that game in WV.
All these games on right now SUCK. Tonight better be good.
@C-Wil I dunno, how big a fan are you of non-conference blowouts?
Except for that Bama-Michigan game, I guess. Which might still be a blowout if the cards fall right.

Super off topic, but any Doctor Who fan who doesn't have access to BBC/BBC America, you may want to check out this: http://www.justin.tv/tardisbluenet
Especially in the next hour or so...
@ou_sas
Is it supposed to look like a fuzzy Wipeout video?
@ThunderChick2010 It's a livestream of BBC1, and I think the volume of viewers in the room are slowing it down. If you're interested in watching, you might try http://tvpc.com/Channel.php?ChannelID=13027 .
It should be starting the actual program now (Season 7 premier).
The four teams who did not win a title in the last 5 years who have the most reason to feel disappointed at the Spurs, Hawks, Cavs and Magic. Why did they fail? Spurs? Too old, most efficient player injured too much, not good enough defense. Hawks? No superstar. Cavs? Just one star. Magic? They were closest to having "enough" but got beat by a better Lakers team and a tougher more veteran Celtics team. James and Howard really only got two main cracks at a title and then they were 'tired of the grind of losing' with their first team. I hope the Thunder stars don't get tired of the grind after 2 main cracks at the title because it may take 4+.
@Crow Which is why I'm not drinking the "well Im from here so it's great to me" KoolAid. If we don't get title by 2016, KD is out. Quit playin ourselves.

@MisterJohnsonOKC @DennisBerry just cherrypick that games that interest and work for you
@DennisBerry @MisterJohnsonOKC they might threaten that in order to get a really sweet deal for a new arena in 3-7 years, but they will probably get a really sweet deal offered to them without needing to make a threat.
@MisterJohnsonOKC @DennisBerry yeah enjoy what good you have access to. super goodness overload is not a common situation unless you decide to see things that way or are very lucky or very good at life.
@MisterJohnsonOKC @Crow but people who buy tickets do, and when that goes down, team value goes down, Bennett'n'em end$ go down they're going to become the Kansas City Thunder, or whatever team can produce an owner with money
@DennisBerry @Crow We won't have anything to worry about. He'll have at least 2 rings by then, just relax.
@C-Wil @Crow with our shitty management and refusal to pursue any fa's or approach the cap?
@Crow @C-Wil @DennisBerry
I know. :)
@DennisBerry @ThunderChick2010 @C-Wil and coaching choices are a major part of a design. wrong coach, no titles even with lebron in cleveland.
@DennisBerry @ThunderChick2010 @C-Wil yeah there are many factors to the game
@ThunderChick2010 @C-Wil @DennisBerry as you wish. i prefer to poke the future and see what it might yield and be ready for the different possibilities.
@Crow @ThunderChick2010 @C-Wil And coaches with no reputations, their teams get assraped by the officials in the playoffs
@DennisBerry @ThunderChick2010 @C-Wil Presti probably will never hire a coach with a bigger reputation than him.
@Crow @C-Wil @DennisBerry
All your questions--which I'm choosing to treat as rhetorical--are disturbing. Don't wanna go there 'til we have to.
@ThunderChick2010 @C-Wil @DennisBerry Celtics and their big 3 get one title. Mavs one in a decade of Dirk.
@Crow @ThunderChick2010 @C-Wil I wish we would have pursued Phil Jax. No he didn't fit into the "Thunder culture" or whatever but fugg that. As of now the Thunder culture has no rings.
@ThunderChick2010 @C-Wil @DennisBerry hit a hot team or a team getting lucky calls... that can cost a title run or title too
@ThunderChick2010 @C-Wil @DennisBerry if they don't win a title in 2013 or 14 does Scotty keep his job? How long does it take the new coach to maximize the program his way? a year, two or more? 4 years can go fast.
@Crow @C-Wil @DennisBerry
Have faith! :)
@C-Wil @DennisBerry at least two? hmmm...time will tell.
Over the last 5 years about 20 teams had offensive efficiency better than 109 and defensive efficiency better / lower than 106 per 100 possessions. The '11-12 Thunder were one of the 15 teams (75%) that did not win a title. It takes more than just that.
You could try to argue that almost every team in the group had enough offense. One third to half did not truly have enough defense. Including the Thunder.
None of Westbrook, Harden and Durant play championship level defense consistently. Serge comes and goes too but his great times are more noticeable.
I hate how Westbrook never gets the credit he deserves. I really think he's the 2nd best PG in the game while others don't have him in their top 5.
@AllDae Russ and Rondo are on such opposite sides of the spectrum that they're hard to compare. In the conversation for best PG should be CP3, Russ, Rose, and Parker. Deron Williams needs to show that he can be good again now that his team isn't awful.
I want to see some stats on Rondo for his averages on National TV games and non national games. because it seems like he goes off every time they play a big game.
@AllDae CP3 Parker, Westbrook/Rose, and Rondo.
@ElMexiThunder Their was this poll and everyone had Rondo 2nd and Iwas just like WTF cause Westbrook wasnt even an option on the poll so it ticked me off. Westbrook is going to be better then a Rose coming off a major injury, has always been better then Rondo, and is going to surpass Tony Parker next year IMO.
@AllDae Until he surpasses Tony Parker then he'll continue to be the third best guard. If anyone should be pissed off about not getting credit when due is Parker. Dude's been a top PG for years and continues to be over-looked by Guards with flashy moves (Rose, and Rondo. Westbrook isn't really all show) then actual play. Parker was the best PG this past season and has been a top candidate for the last several. BTW i hate Parker. Manu and Duncan are my favorites on that team.
