Nick Gallo of the team’s site on Nick Collison’s trip: “The consummate team player and positive locker room force wasn’t done giving back after that trip, and in fact, he had the chance to join three of his Thunder teammates in Africa. Collison hopped back on a plane to meet up with Thabo Sefolosha, Serge Ibaka and Cole Aldrich in Johannesburg, South Africa to work with the NBA and FIBA’s Basketball Without Borders program. While in South Africa, the Thunder quartet, led by Sefolosha, whose father is South African and the Congolese Ibaka, helped lead a youth basketball camp, build houses with Habitat for Humanity and open four new basketball courts for the Alexandra Township community. It was a wonderful display of selflessness by the four Thunder players who just got finished with a condensed NBA season and a long NBA Playoff run. The fact that the four of them, all from different backgrounds, were able to join together to make an impact as teammates was very special.”
Perk checked in 94th in CBSSports.com’s top 100 players: “Perkins needs to live up to his reputation as a Dwight-Stopper this season to reclaim some of the clout he had when traded to OKC. Perkins struggled through the playoffs but it was discovered later that he had a groin injury which severely limited him. He still was a huge part of the Thunder’s win over San Antonio, but in a league that continues to shift more and more towards small ball and versatility, Perkins’ old-school center approach loses its value.”
Perk standing with a shorter person.
Another good Kevin McHale quote: “We’ve got to get these guys willing to fight for each other and go out there and fight for the win. Whatever it takes to make that happen, they’ll do it. Again, that is not the sexy, ‘Oh you’re in the NBA, you get paid.’ That’s why half these clowns in this league don’t win anything. They don’t realize that it comes down to how hard you’re willing to fight for each other. It’s your team. How hard are you willing to fight for it? … Because the answer is: Whatever it takes. When you have a team that says, ‘I’ll do whatever it takes to win,’ you’re moving in the right direction.”
James Harden hanging with Wiz Khalifa.
Brian Kamenetzky of ESPN LA: “I don’t think they’ll be reactionary. Miami, adding Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis haven’t been standing still, and OKC doesn’t need to add players, they just need to continue improving naturally. Neither of those teams is reactionary, both will stay their respective courses. And why not? The Heat are the NBA title holders, and the Thunder just went to the Finals. Don’t be cute.”

this blog went from Daily thunder to multiple times a day thunder.... like if you almost never close down your DT window in your browser
@RodneyRosavelRusanWilson
Thank goodness for tabs! :)
So it seems that Harden's tweet earlier this week about better late than never might not have been about a contract signing. Of course he could have signed and they are waiting a bit for a official announcement. I saw on twitter where someone asked him if he meant contract extension but he did not repy. He and Maynor are the big questions roster wise it appers heading into the year..
@TNT
Sorry, TNT . . . don't want to give you the impression that we're always so nitpicky/rude to new posters (well, Jax is) but we're missing our resident spelling/grammar guy. :)
@ThunderChick2010
Oh well.....somebody needs to be the spell checker if this site does not provide a automatic one. I have read the board from the beginning so am fairly aware of the dynamics but decided to join in some discussions anyways...
@TNT
Aware of the dynamics, but decided to join in anyway . . . You're a brave soul and I think you'll fit right in.
@TNT It does apper that way.
@Jax Raging Bile Duct @TNT
But apperances can be deceiving . . .

DT Fantasy League Update
Old poll has been changed to a condensed time schedule.
This gives everyone time to set aside this day, more time for me to organise it, more variety in days people and busy and quite frankly it is more convienent for me, and if the LM doesn't have time it isn't going to happen anyway. SO VOTE NOW :D (not you, TC)
Btw bsooreal & jameswade99 you need to sign up. Contact me if you need me to resend the confirmation email

Far right
@cleandoe Where the poll at?
@cleandoe I voted for Friday...I work nights during the week but rarely do anything so I'd be able to draft then too..just there always could be an occasional distraction
@OBoymuzik We'll see. Probably around 8 but we'll get everyone's opinion
@cleandoe What time of day will the draft be? Night?
@cleandoe He hasn't been on DT in a long while
Definitely don't be cute.
Can we agree that it's going to be really really satisfying to beat LAL this next season?
I wish that I hated Steve Nash more so that it could be REALLY REALLY satisfying.
And we will beat them: Kevin Durant plays for our team.
@D@nny I used to wish that Nash could get a ring before he retired. I don't wish that anymore.
@D@nny I think nash and kobe are going to clash a bit.
RT@LeighEllis Let us know how it goes. RT @squeaky_johnson can you eat a tuna sandwich with no bread? (tuna inside a tortilla) i am about to find out
But in all seriousness, I thought Kamenetzky did a solid job answering questions in a relatively unbiased and realistic manner. Love the way he just shuts down some of the more ridiculous questions. For instance, "Any chance the Lakers sign Harden?" Answer: Not gonna happen.
DON'T BE CUTE.
That guy with perk is short though, compared to the car.
@f5alcon I'm guessing about 5'1"
