KD’s on his annual trip to China and guess what he made time to do? You’ll never believe it, but he played some basketball. And can you believe it, he dominated completely. The off-the-backboard dunk was nice and all, but it wasn’t near as good as this one.

No Jax or ou_sas around to do this today . . .

@ThunderChick2010 Hey, I take credit for starting that trend way back in the day!
@dancassidy35/FreeFestusFromGSW!
Sorry, you know how we "old folks" forget. :)
So Darnell IS alive!
http://newsok.com/oklahoma-city-thunder-five-ways-serge-ibaka-can-prove-he-is-worth-his-contract/article/3706632?custom_click=columnist
Thabeet's deal was two years with a team option after one right? Just heard somebody argue that he was going to pan out this year and wanted to see contract wise what the situation would be in a hypothetical situation where he could play meaningful minutes behind Perk.
Full disclaimer, I do not think he will do anything for OKC at all.
@dancassidy35/FreeFestusFromGSW! Hasheem Thabeet's contract is
1st year=$1,200,000
2nd year=$1,200,000(non-guaranteed)
3rd year=$1,250,000(non-guaranteed)
The best place I've found for looking up contracts is http://www.hoopsworld.com/nba-salaries/. it's the only website I've found that has most the details of the contract. They don't list specific incentives in the contract, but those would be extremely tough to find.
which team is better,supersonic 96 or thunder 12?
@shiki If the games were played in 1996 the Sonics would dominate the Thunder defensively. Payton would have locked up Westbrook, and Hawkins was a good defender in his own right for Harden. That Sonics team had one of the best perimeter defenses ever, better than 2012 Miami for sure. If the game is played in 2012 I think it's a toss up, since hand check rules limit the effectiveness of defense. But 1996 Sonics were a better team.
@shiki Sonics in 1996 were 5.1 points better than league average defensively compared to Miami's 4.4 points this season. 1996 Sonics were one of the best teams of the 90's, probably Top 10 in teams that did not win a title.
@shiki Just thinking about the starting line up matches is exciting. Payton/Westbrook. Hawkins/Thabo. Kemp/Ibaka. Schrempf/KD. Johnson/Perkins. Not too mention McMillan and Harden coming off the bench and guarding each other. Payton was DPOY that season and it would be awesome watching him harass Westbrook. Kemp would probably dominate Ibaka but I'd love to see Collison take on Kemp - could definitely force Kemp into turnovers and offensive fouls. Schrempf could be somewhat effective on KD but... it's KD. I think a seven game series would go all seven, but I just honestly say which team I think comes out on top.
@duhsweetness @shiki
So you've got George Karl matching wits with Scott Brooks . . .
@shiki It's very tough to guess, because the NBA was very different back then, when the defender could put their hands on the ball handler, and you couldn't taunt other players (like after monster dunks). I haven't watched very much old sonic games, (as I became a fan around 2005) but I have to say that the old sonics would win as of now. Westbrook would have a tough time facing against Payton, and they have more experience. Although, a couple years down the road, if we keep our core players, I'd say the tables would turn and the thunder of 2014 would win.
@shiki Since I'm a youngster, I never got the opportunity to watch them play first hand, but thanks to God's gift of the internet, I've become a big fan of vintage games, and have pondered this topic before. I think Seattle could slow OKC down with physicality at first, but once KD starts hitting, they don't have anyone to stop him and the flood gates open. That's when Seattle just doesn't have the speed and athleticism to match up with a young, modern team.
@shiki I don't know but I'd love to see them play. I wouldn't be ashamed to say then even as much as I hated Seattle, I might give them the edge in this one due to the physicality and defense they played with. I don't see how they could cover Durant though, since there's never been a player like him. And it would be real interesting to see how Glove would guard Westbrook, Russ' speed and athleticism would be hard to contend with, even for him. And then you have a possible Ibaka/Kemp matchup, and then would Harden be able to step up?
All in all, would be a terrific series.
@shiki My memory of that team is a little fuzzy but I can't imagine them covering KD. Who would it have been? Nate MicMillan? Detlef Schrempf? Vincent Askew?
On the other side of the ball, they did have Kemp in his prime and Payton but I think Thunder 12 has too much horsepower for them to overcome.
Harden sending us signals.
James Harden @JHarden13
Better late than never.
@Allen Iverson @JHarden13 Oh please for the love of god
@Allen Iverson @JHarden13 it's also a song lyric by drake
@OBoymuzik @Allen Iverson anything could be song lyrics by drake
@KDRUCKERPARK66 @Allen Iverson harden tweets them all the time though lol
Apparently Royce thinks the same.
Royce Young @dailythunder
Hmm???? (I read way too much into tweets sometimes.) RT@JHarden13 Better late than never.
@Allen Iverson @dailythunder or maybe he is going to shave his beard tomorrow, or see a dentist, or break up with Trina, or start playing defense, possibilities are endless
@Allen Iverson Lulz.
@DennisBerry Do they even have dentists in Europe?
Anyone here watch Breaking Bad?
@Allen Iverson Starts in 45 minutes for me, i can't wait
maybe its cause im a thunder fan but seriously, KD has to be one if not THE best examples of what a basketball player SHOULD be. Hes nice, he takes time for fans, he knows when to get medieval on your ass, and he doesnt trash talk other players. He could easily do what skip bayless wants him to do and jack up 60 a game, but that aint kd, hes about teamwork and stuff.
as kd so wisely puts it "hard work beats talent, when talent fails to work hard."
@Legendary_Dork It'd be nice to see KD take 30 attempts a game this year
@Legendary_Dork
Hey, they could use that line in his movie . . . :)
@ThunderChick2010 @Legendary_Dork He didn't make that comment up though but yea
@DennisBerry @ThunderChick2010 never said he did, just said it wise words.
Anybody here ever been to Elevation Trampoline Park? From the Groupon pic, it looks like you can play Slamball (basketball on a trampoline court) there.
That crowd is Loud-City-worthy!
course they got a HD scoreboard
@OkcBaby Course. Most of them are made there so why not.
@Old Man Game @OkcBaby
Interesting to read the old comments. Old Man, were you previously known as Thomas?
@ThunderChick2010 @OkcBaby That is a handle I previously went by but when this changed to livefyre it wasn't available so I went through several new ones before I was able to arrive at one I liked and have stuck with.
@Old Man Game @OkcBaby
When I clicked on Royce's link above, it took me to a thread from last summer. Thomas' wordpress avatar looks identical to your old one, I think, and the comments are similar to yours in tone and style. (Sometimes people tell me I'm perceptive. I might just be crazy though.)
@ThunderChick2010 @OkcBaby Why do you ask?
Harden trade http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=9m4gmjt
The Kings wouldn't do it though.

Cole Aldrich should travel with him and get some practice and do P90X on the afternoon.
