I will never turn down an opportunity to post video of Kevin Durant being, well, Kevin Durant. The Hoop Doctors put together their list of KD’s top 10 plays of 2012. Their selections were pretty great. They didn’t just go with generic dunks or buzzer beaters. They had a few gorgeous scoop layups (the one against the Wolves is art) and of course his posters on JaVale McGee and Roy Hibbert.
Re-watching his game-winner over Shawn Marion though, it’s incredible as to how KD got that off. That really was outstanding defense by Marion. KD did shoot the ball as much as he just flicked his wrist. Falling backwards, fading left, hand in his face and somehow he gets it off. I honestly don’t think there’s another player in the world that would’ve been able to get that shot off, much less make it.

6 mill for reddick isn't good if he's going to play cooks role. but since he was one of the guys we could trade harden for it would be a test run to help us decide on what we'll pay for harden. and it's expiring
it would also make us really good this year.
@OBoymuzik That's a nice little trade. His value's not going to skyrocket at the end of the contract either, which is nice. I could see him getting more burn with Brooks too, so he wouldn't end up playing Cook's role, he'd end up on the RJ-JH-JR-NC-CA second team. You've not got a nice little scoring game going on in your second unit there.

@OBoymuzik The problem I've been having with potential center trades is salary. Yeah, there are better centers out there, but unfortunately, almost all of them are paid equally or more to what Perk is paid. It makes working out trade scenarios that are not just pipe dreams (lol, of course Detroit will trade us Greg Monroe!) a little tricky.

Still feels weird hearing that Missouri is now playing in the SEC. A&M was one thing, they hadn't been in the conference that long but Missouri was in the Big 8 before there was a Big 12. Feels like a marriage that just went horribly wrong all at once.
@Old Man Game That's how I feel, as well. So many memories with Mizzou/OSU, particularly in basketball. I have those types of memories with Nebraska and Colorado, as well. None really for A&M. Don't really care about the Aggies, but I miss the other three.
@Jooseppi I remember watching those Norm Stewart teams. That guy had some great players, in retrospect, but players I hated with a passion at the time. Jason Sutherland was the quintessential player in that regard. Hate him on the other team, love him on yours.

We didn't even get rain in Deer Creek. I got poured on at May & Hefner, but once I got north to 150th..nary any precip. We need a report from our Grady County precip analyst. It's actually almost cool outside right now. These past nine days were a bitch. 100 degree days, little wind, oppressive humidity...it was so brutal...I had trouble amusing myself with my TSN observations. I did notice one od thing early this morning before the cold front got here...all the turkeys and many other returning turkeys were strutting and stroking at s 6:00am. There must have been twenty turkeys out there as the they knew the weather was about to change. kocoweather.com should just put these turkeys on their website and let them start doing the weather forecasts.

It's the heat. I'm worn out in general. Hope today was the last 100 degree day of 2012. We've got some nights coming up where the lows will actually be in the 50's this week. Thank god for that. My favorite KD play was the dunk over sissy boy Gasol and Stu Barnes. Vintage Gasol...he looked like he was going to cry...again.
