Perk's turnover rate is lower than Collison's or Thabeet's right now. Actually very close to his career best. About 25% better than last season. Still high but thought the improvement was worth mentioning.

Read this just now on Hoopshype.com. "Perkins couldn’t be happier on the Thunder. What’s not to the love? The team is extremely talented, close-knit and poised to contend for years to come. Perkins’ contract will keep in Oklahoma City through the 2014-15 season, but he hopes to stay even longer. He would love to finish his career with the Thunder. “I love it here,” Perkins said. “It is a business so I have to make sure I do my job and we do our job, and that’s trying to win a couple of championships. Then, the rest will take care of itself. But yes, I would love to stay here and finish my career here.” .....and we say: @#%!#$#$@!!!!!!!
@YoniFromIsrael that's what they all say... #trustissues lol
@YoniFromIsrael well he needs to start doing his job part of that statement
I don't think Presti is going to make a trade for someone like Varejao at the deadline because of his age. I realize it is only 30, but he plays so hard and with so much energy that it wouldn't surprise me to see to start seeing him riddled with injuries soon enough.
The way I see it, Presti wants his big pieces to be young, able to grow with the team. Perk was 27 when we got him. I'm not sure if Martin is here to stay or not but the way he plays seems to be a fashion in which wouldn't see much of a decline in future years. I think the most likely deadline deals involve one of Maynor or Jackson, probably not getting much in return.
As far as Jones III and Lamb go, there's really not much room for them to play right now. But I am of the state of mind that they are the key to winning a championship in the next few years. Their development is more key then Liggins or Orton and I'd rather have the Brookies in the D League then Orton or Liggins if they're not going to be playing on OKC.

Some Perk perspective.
guess its not too early for Toronto to be tanking
I agree with Joel. Jackson was garbage with harden and cook. Now u want to put him with Martin, sef, thabeet and colli. Pass
@OkcBaby He was also a rookie PG with only half a training camp to go on before being thrown into the fire. The possibility at least exits that he can get better. Post-injury you'd have to wonder about that whether the same possibility exists for Eric.
@Old Man Game @OkcBaby Theres flaty nod an adequate sample pool from which to adequately grade Reggie. Im not sold on Reggie, not ocnvinced hell be better, but woudnt be surprised if after an entire season as the no 2 PG he was as seervicabel as Maynor was last year, and for me, thats enough. Maynor has falling off a cliff this year so far. maybe he can bounce back, but we need to se how Reggie can perform
@OkcBaby I'm not having a go out you, but why did you pick Eric Maynor as your favourite player? Just curious. I'm sure you've shared it with someone else before. I really liked Maynor pre-injury and I really hope he gets back to his best but at the moment his game is very inconsistent and he's not able to drive and kick like he could before. I hope he gets it back to the same level as 2010-11 Maynor.
@OkcBaby Swap thabeet with perk. the NBA's first Point Center
Someone needs to fire the Wizards coach. They seem like a decent team. At least not an 0-11 team poor guys
@YoniFromIsrael they'll get that win soon. I watched the game against the bobcats and I fell like they've had too many close games recently to not win one soon. Plus Nene is back and he was hitting nice jumpers. He looks pretty nice. Wouldn't mind swapping perk and a pick/young player for Nene is possible.
Blazers bench failed to score ten points again today.
For the 4th time this year.
It's a ghost town around here!
I guess everyone has that "oh sh*t I have to go back to work in the morning" feeling
@MD4Okc I'd like Monday to never come
So the Clippers have surpassed us in TOV%. We're now 29th instead of 30th.
@justin_mia I liked it better when we had no where to go but up.
@justin_mia
And people accuse you of not being positive. Unfair, I say! :)
@ThunderChick2010 We're in danger of catching the Lakers too.
@justin_mia
Gotta dream, right?
So the next time we play the raptors we let them win right? What ever it takes to keep when terrible, but not too terrible.
@reddirt717 They're finding ways to lose games on their own, we don't have to help them.
@rednuht I think you missed the point. If they keep losing, they'll troll the shit out of us by getting a top three pick and we lose out on the most big man heavy draft in years.
@AlexR44 I don't see Detroit improving, their coach is going to get fired soon. Toronto has Lowry, Jonas V and Derozan who are all having decent years.
Who's worse than them? Washington, Sacramento, Detroit, New Orleans. Believe me, they'll be in play for one of the top 5 crappiest records in the league. Detroit and New Orleans will improve just because their young players will gain more experience over the course of the season. I see a convoluted mess in Toronto and no improvement.
@AlexR44 I think they're still a good enough team to not "earn" a top 3 pick. If they're in the top 3, it will be by the grace of the lottery gods.
@AlexR44 tanking for top 3 is pretty hard. Golden State pulled off a pretty epic tank last year and only got the 7th pick (Utah had a pick of theirs top 8 protected)
I think there will come a point very soon (before the trade deadline) where Toronto will just say "Fxck it" and really start rebuilding. They'll probably trade Bargs and Calderon. Then they'll really get a top 3 pick.
@reddirt717 By the way I phrased my response I can see why you would think that.
Do we have a consensus feeling as to how Kevin Martin should be treated within the offense when his shot isn't falling like in Boston and Philadelphia?
Keep shooting Kevin, shooters shoot and we need you.
or
Stop passing it to Kevin he's incapable of hitting a shot tonight.
@rednuht Currently it seems if he isn't hitting shots through the first half Westbrook and KD are waaaaaaaaay more likely to look him off.
I'm sure he'll find his groove again against the Bobcats.
@Stringer Bell @rednuht then stink again the next time we play a good team
@Stringer Bell @rednuht against good teams, he smells bad AND misses shots.
@Perk90X @rednuht I don't care if he smells bad, as long as he hits his shots.
@rednuht
Throw them under the bus. You get that for a consensus around here a lot. Me being a sunny positve sort I say "this too shall pass" and I go get a beer.
@rednuht take him out of the game because he can't do anything else like defend or pass
@rednuht Get him open looks, and then the 1st one.
@Old Man Game How much of getting an open look is Martin's responsibility?
@rednuht I was thinking it was more on the coaches to design something getting him open and Russ to pass it to him but yeah, Martin does still got to do his part.
Raps lost
@Lambchop They made a game of it though, honest.
@Lambchop I suppose we can thank Bargnani for that.
Forgot to mention last night . . . Serge extended his streak of double-digit point games to 12--doubling his previous longest streak. :)
@ThunderChick2010 So every time Presti trades a starting player a current player steps up his game through opportunity. Harden after Green was traded and now Ibaka after Harden was traded. Let's see is there any current starter that might be traded to improve the team?
@rednuht @ThunderChick2010 don't forget the DREAM! He's stepped up since Coletrain was traded.
@Tronchaser @ThunderChick2010 This theory applies to starters only. Bench scrubs that never got to play filling in for bench scrubs that never got to play is beyond the theories capabilities.
The Dream is Thabeet. Do we have any confirmation of whether he gave himself the nickname?
@Crownme @Tronchaser @rednuht
HASHEEM THE DREAM!
@Tronchaser @rednuht @ThunderChick2010
Who's the DREAM ?
@rednuht @ThunderChick2010 his name rhymes with workins
@MisterJohnsonOKC @ThunderChick2010 @rednuht I like Perk too and think he has an important place on this team. his attitude, court sense, defensive awareness and general leadership are skills and attributes this team needs. However Right now he should be playing as the Tied 8th man between Thabeet, himself and collision, or tied 9th with Thabeet as a starting 8th man and Ibaka as the primary center.
A bench unit with Maynor Martin Thabo Nick/perry and Perk/nick would have the right blend of veteran experience, intelligence, and scoring to play solid minutes while KD and Russ were off the Floor, however this team as currently constructed playing perk 20-30 minutes a game because Scott Brooks prefers veterans like himself even when they are overmatched. this team will tire at some point and be a first or second round exit.
to put this into perspective OKC played an 8 man rotation in the overtime loss to philly. its November.
@MisterJohnsonOKC @DJ Scott Brooks aka jdstorm @rednuht
Which is why I'm seeking an Anonymous fan chapter. :)
@DJ Scott Brooks aka jdstorm @rednuht
Is there a Perkins Anonymous chapter meeting anywhere close? Despite his mostly frustrating performances, I still like the guy and want him to succeed on our team.
@ThunderChick2010 block streak ended though at 43
@Perk90X
Yeah . . . saw that.
@ThunderChick2010
I'm getting the feeling we will see lots of new personal bests from Serge, he is back to improving like he he did his second year
