Pace: Thunder – 91.9 (18th), Kings – 92.0 (13th)

View from the enemy: Cowbell Kingdom

Note: Today sucks, big time. And basketball seems so comically small and irrelevant right now. Keep that in mind while you’re griping about Perk or whatever tonight.

Considering how Wednesday’s game against the Hornets went, it’s obvious: This isn’t to be taken lightly. The Kings aren’t good, but they do have a little talent and with the Thunder’s last two slow starts, eventually that kind of thing is going to come back to bite them.

Sacramento coming in: Lost to the Bucks on Wednesday.

Three Big Things

1. Rebounding. The Kings have some strong offensive rebounders inside with DeMarcus Cousins, Jason Thompson and Thomas Robinson. The Kings have size and strength. Statistically, they aren’t great on the glass, but they certainly have the ability.

2. Pace. The Thunder have been playing abnormally slow as of late. It hasn’t been really a bad thing, but there hasn’t been a whole lot of quick play. The more opportunities in transition, the better. A few easy buckets can get everyone in a rhythm and a flow and open things up.

3. It’s me, not you. This is about the Thunder, not the Kings. If the Thunder are to slip up, it’ll be on them.

Tip at 7:00 CT. Go Prayers.

Ugh, I hate missing the Thunder games but boyfriend duties called today -_______- Does anybody have a link where I can watch the full game? Or is there any way to watch them with league pass? I tried recording the game but my DVR didn't work :\

Just got home from the game and listened to the post game on the Animal.  They really hammered the subs for not covering Thomas during his tirade in the 4th.  What did it look like on TV?.  I felt that he just got hot and the turnovers/missed shots fed him on quick sets.  He set and shot fast enough to stay away from any help coverage.   Also, thought Brooks left them in a bit too long, maybe should have cut to the starters at the +10 mark.

@CDSpark I thought it was pretty flukey. We were bad on defense but it's not often that a guy in a teams 3rd unit is even capable of going off like that . Thomas was a starter for them most of last year and has had his minutes cut big time so he was probably just pissed and went out there trying to prove something. The good thing is that he's on my fantasy team.

Games seem easier this year.  And tight games we close out better this year.  We just continue to get better every year.  Nice to be a Thunder fan.

I keep going back to what Royce said on the radio about Lamb, 'I think he could be a spot shooter right now but I think the Thunder want him to be something more' [paraphrase]. I think you have been watching him we might be seeing that. He's handling the ball and attempting to facilitate the offense and set his teammates up at times in addition to scoring. It'll be really interesting to see if this works in terms of using the D-League not just to give a guy confidence but to do a remodel of sorts.

So that was cool enough, but except for the TWolves we don't have any "gimmes" in the near term. As we saw tonight though, the gimmes worry more than the others sometimes. For a while early on I thought we might have to fight through a long tough game.

Did anyone think we got some unlikely calls tonight?
