Happy weekend. Thank you for your support of Daily Thunder. Kevin Durant, you guys.
This just needed its own post. It’s too good.
Oh, I forgot to add this: In an issue of Us Weekly or something, Westbrook said he liked listening to Taylor Swift before games. I asked him about that and he said he likes Taylor Swift and Katy Perry before games. I said, “Are you being serious?” and he said, “Yeah, they got good stuff.” So no big shock to see him singing along with Ke$ha.

We have three picks. Let's just trade up and get Noel. His shot-blocking and athleticism seems more like the Thunder's style anyways over guys like Zeller or Len
Game Day. Let's embarace them again in Mile High and make their humiliation complete
Ilyasova alert!

Starting 5 K's Irving Martin Durant Love Garnett
@ThunderWins you gotta save the trade first but I wanna see this lol
@ThunderWins Crow is that you?
Both Love and Martin spot up from 3 in view of the ball handler. KG Picks either Irving or KD the other cuts baseline.
IF other team leaves KG he pops,rolls or hits Irving for easy 2.
They leave KD alone - well we all know what happens then.
They overload the paint - have Martin and Love light it up open from 3.
@AIaska Your bench is has Ibaka, Collison, Sef, PJones, Jackson, Liggins.
@AIaska And pretend KG is 10 years younger LOL
@AIaska Starting for your New Thunder

@d21 I think you broke the trade machine with that one.
http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterockets/2013/01/daryl-moreys-letter-to-royce-white/
@d21 Maybe the saddest thing about Royce White, he came out early. He could have at least stayed in school and gotten a degree. Then when he came out if the NBA didn't work he might have had some marketable job skills. Now, what's he going to do if, as appears increasingly likely, he can't play basketball to earn a living?
@Old Man Game @d21 Yea. He'll realize this very soon and have regrets that will make him very upset.
He'll try to make a comeback. Get the help he needs, start out in D League and there will be a reality show about it.
@Old Man Game @d21 No his psychologist has completely lost control of this situation.
Royce said it on a radio interview himself. The difference between college and the Pros is $ and lots of it. His Psychologist would be working for a way to make SURE he knows its okay to fly and play even for selfish reasons (getting paid more by Royce).
This is all Royce. He better snap out of it and fix it quick
@<--A Benz can make me dance @d21 Goldberg asks: "What if you're psychologist says you can't play tonight?"
White, Answers: "Then I can't play tonight."
@Old Man Game @d21 Anxiety can keep him out of a game?
Are we serious? He's just saying the first thing that comes into his head and not really thinking. He might be trying to ruin himself on purpose. There are people like that. That makes not one iota of sense --- like you said, he wouldnt have left school early to go to the NBA !!
@<--A Benz can make me dance @d21 I was thinking maybe Spanish ACB league because I don't think he'd have to fly all that much if at all. But in the excerpt from the Real Sports interview he does with Bernard Goldberg he seems to indicate that his anxiety alone could keep him out of a game. So it may be more than just the fear of flying keeping from fulfilling his job duties.
@d21 Tough position for the Rockets to be in. They're handling it well. I was wrong about Royce White, I think. Probably wouldn't have worked out anywhere.
@d21 Wow White in the wrong here acted in bad faith.
@d21 "Shortly after that, we informed you that we thought it would be beneficial for you to meet with Dr. Aaron Fink, a world-renowned psychiatrist, who could provide you with access to an appropriate professional in Houston to help should any situations arise. We gave you Dr. Fink’s contact information and several available times for an interview. You and your representatives responded that you viewed this as a very helpful step and confirmed that you would meet with Dr. Fink. You did not do so."
@ThunderWins I haven't been watching much college ball, so there are others who would know better than me. I think we should trade the pick, anyway.
I haven't seen your opinion on the draft Justin - which players have you liked so far?
@OBoy Jones III @d21 If he wasn't a high pick you think he would be waived already?
@ThunderWins @d21 He's already breached his contract and 100 other ways.
@ThunderWins someone need to tell royce to stop addressing it on twitter.
@d21 I wonder what the rules for players addressing the media are? In many jobs unapproved media communications is a serious offense including breach of contract and termination.
alex len
http://nbaprospects.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/midseason-report-alex-len.html?spref=tw
@d21 But Len wasn't needed to dominate these games. Maryland rolled over most of their competition with a high scoring offensive attack that didn't have to involve their plodding big man. They played arguably the weakest non-conference schedule in the NCAA and Len was consistently covered by smaller defenders - but sometimes two defenders at a time.
@ThunderWins @d21 "His lack of ability to make up for mistakes also corresponds to his inability to change directions or move laterally well. Opposing teams love getting Len out on the top of the arc to cover the pick and roll. He is very slow on his feet, struggles changing directions, and lacks an understanding of where to be in order to disrupt the offense. In most cases, Len finds himself in no mans land - not helping hedge the ball handler or getting back to cover the roller. A slow mind mixed with slow feet is not a recipe for success on defense. Len finds himself out of position more times than not on the defensive end."
@Legendary_Dork @ThunderWins @d21 BUT as a top 7 maybe even top 5 pick? NO. We don't need to be taking a project. This guy has been overhyped thanks to that Kentucky game. Its funny this came up again because this is exactly what I was trying to tell @Lost Ones Lost Ones yesterday.
@ThunderWins @d21 " He needs to develop a mentality as a rim protector - too many times he allows a man to slip behind him and get an easy basket. He also struggles with smaller guys who can go into his body, use his leverage against him, and also outmuscle him. Len has been beaten in this way by some of the low-major players."
so yeah for all his post moves and great skill, there are flaws, DUH
im sure he could be molded though
@d21 He is slow? "plodding big man"
Just don't see us getting him.
Anyone still have the link that talks about KD's improving post game
@GervinReincarnated http://www.alloutpress.com/archives/2013---01/mythbusters-kevin-durant
@O O O O O O thanks
Here's darnell interview http://bit.ly/XotHGG
0LIts been reported by darnell that sam preskti is scouting a few oklahoma state prospects including marcus smart, A 6 foot 4 225 pound combo guard. In 15 games He's averaging 14 ppg on 41 FG%, 30% from DT, 5.5 rbs pg, 4.7 ast, 2.8 stl and 1 block. Here
@wearetougherthanthis I think Smart will stay another year. His shooting is pretty horrid and may only get worse as conference play gets tough...he looked bad vs the Sooners. Probably needs another year or so, either way he is a project if he does enter and OKC doesn't have time to wait for development
@tygablood no problem staying another year, he's only 18 yrs old
@ThunderWins @tygablood i said prospect
@wearetougherthanthis @tygablood I agree not ready for pros.
@wearetougherthanthis In Preskti we trust.
@S4TISF4CTION i did that on purpose, sam presti is peski scouting :)
