I'm glad they brought up the article about Perk again. All throughout the read, all I could think of was, "Is it more important to be good for 30 minutes against 4 teams, or good for 30 minutes against 25 teams?" We may have to go through LA and Memphis to get out of the West, but is Perk really going to be out of shape or patently unhappy when those teams come around? Why is it more important to keep him happy than to be better? The other thing is a flawed idea that we couldn't beat LA/Memphis without Perk. Last I checked, we defend very nearly as well with Perk on the bench, but we score like gangbusters.
Even if we give up a few more buckets against big teams without Perk, wouldn't we be scoring much more than we give up? I love chemistry and intangibles as much as the next fan, but why fight so hard to make a case for Perkins relevance? Nobody was writing pages about why Thabo should keep starting over Harden, and moving Perk to the bench would be just as big of a boost.
in order to guard lebron you need an in his Prime Artest...IMO his the only player i can think of that can give Lebron Hell while guarding him one on one...any other option and his dropping a near triple double on you every night...

Just Watch. here's what im saying..first off putting KD on Lebron is more taxing for Durant than Lebron...Lebron attacks the paint and plays in the post..Durant is mainly a jumpshooter that can still blow by you..the problem with Lebron is that you can live with a jumpshooter scoring, you can't live with someone destroying you in the paint...thats a high percentage shot ..The Lakers have the same dilemma with Westbrook..the team can live with Durant shooting jumpers, but you can't survive Westbrook destroying you in the paint unless you have the offensive firepower to outscore the team...

Kevin just has to play smarter against the Heat. Both Lebron and Kevin will score on each other. You can't say Lebron will own Kevin when Kevin is doing the same thing to Lebron. No denying that the Heat have an advantage because they have Battier to put on KD so Lebron doesn't have to guard Kevin every possession (Presti is probably shooting himself for not snagging Battier for that reason alone) but in terms of handling most of possession against Lebron the Thunder aren't a compete liability.

LEBRON will get his. He scores 30+ while being double teamed. So whats the difference guarding him 1 on 1? If everyone else is decently covered then he cant pass it. If everyone else scores below average because they are not WIDE OPEN cuz we've double teamed Lebron then we have a better chance of winning.

If you actually watch the games you'd know that Kevin gets in foul trouble away from Lebron more than on Lebron. Granted if he can't avoid offensive fouls, transition defense fouls, etc. guarding Lebron isn't going to help with him fouling out.
