Happy Saturday. Thank you for your support of Daily Thunder. The Brodie, don’t hate on it.
Here’s how I feel about this whole Harlem Shake thing: I want to hate it, which I’m pretty sure I do, but I can’t resist clicking play on darn near every single one I see. It’s so stupid. But it’s also kind of great. This is my favorite one yet, and while it’s not technically an official Harlem Shake and is more the creation of an enterprising young lad, it’s still terrific.

@Blood-Game bag yo bags~
I use to think the Thunder really needed a traditional Center to score in the post to get a ring, but the more and more I look at it, the more I think what they really need is another athletic big like Larry Sanders or Noah that can actually run the floor and help improve our transition defense.
@Team Gatorade Bry Bry Could have had Noah, drafted Jeff Green instead. Could have had Chandler, rescinded the trade due to some phantom injury that I have never heard of again since. Could have just signed Hickson in the offseason, chose not to, was available again at the deadline for cheap, passed on it.
@Team Gatorade Bry Bry Cauley-Stein would work
@Fezzy I'm totally on board with that...... but would Brooks actually use him???
I'm thinking a lineup with him, PJ3, Lamb, Martin and Reggie looks pretty nasty.
@Fezzy I think you may be right
@Team Gatorade Bry Bry He'd be in Tulsa for a year or two a la Perry and Lamb. Two years from now, Perk and Hash are FAs.
@Fezzy @Team Gatorade Bry Bry The more i see Cauley the more i think he has potential to be good in 2-3 years
@Fezzy @Lost Ones @Team Gatorade Bry Bry Or that you reacted in an extremely sensitive manner, characteristic of what one would expect from one, to a comment that wasn't even an affront to you but more or [lack of] ability to develop rookies at this point at time and the fact any draftees would get no burn, as we already have more rotting on the bench
@Thunder, Love, & Basketball @Lost Ones @Team Gatorade Bry Bry Clever, insinuating that I'm a woman.
@Fezzy @Lost Ones @Team Gatorade Bry Bry Aunt Flo in town?
@Thunder, Love, & Basketball @Lost Ones @Team Gatorade Bry Bry I see we're being an ass today. And you can also actually watch the Tulsa games.
@Fezzy @Lost Ones @Team Gatorade Bry Bry word. I can't wait to read stories about those guys in Tulsa and watch them check in to finish the last 19 seconds of the game
@Lost Ones @Team Gatorade Bry Bry Cauley-Stein and either an athletic, lengthy SF or a rat SG would be a fun draft.
I predict Collison to struggle tonight. As was the case in the Nuggets game, he seems to struggle when there aren't driving offensive players for him to undercut and draw weak charges from. Athletic guys like Javale McGee just use him as a hurdle and jump and dunk all over him and there's nothing he can do but look up and watch from the 1st floor because his elevator doesn't go as high
Also, Barnes will murderalize Kevin Martin
@Thunder, Love, & Basketball
Barnes would actually be a good match up for Brewer, come to think of it.
Durant and Martin seem to really struggle with his physicality.
I don't know how many of you look at Popcorn Machine game flows but they are awesome for looking at lineups and seeing how rotations played out. I look at them after every game.
Here is the game flow from the Clips' last game if you want to see how they use their players.
http://popcornmachine.net/cgi-bin/gameflow.cgi?date=20130301&game=LACCLE
Based on this and previous flowcharts, it looks like one of the Clips' best lineups features Paul, Crawford, Barnes, Griffin and Odom. That's a lot of length and athleticism. And they tend to use at the same part of the game where we have Russ, Martin, Thabo, KD and Collison on the floor together.
Per Basketball-reference.com's lineup finder:
Brooks has played Perkins, Ibaka or Collison as the lone big for 463.3 minutes out of 2810 total minutes or 16% of the time or on average less than 8 mpg. The single big lineups are good for +15.4 per 48 while the rest of the lineups are good for +8.2 per 48 mpg and Brooks is a top 5 coach.
@FF_pickups Yet Brooks gets zero credit for strategically employing the one big lineups when he does. None of you are ever going to be happy with Brooks. We have the number one offense in the league, but that's "in spite of our coach". Give me a break. If Brooks has any weakness it's that he's stubborn (most coaches are) and he can't seem to get everyone motivated to play defense consistently well. Other than that he's a terrific leader of men and a top strategist.
@[censored] @FF_pickups Defense is the only way we will win a title, i could care less about our offense being #1 when we contain some of the best offensive talent in the league. a video editor could lead us to being a good offense.
@[censored] @FF_pickups Our big lineups actually turn out to be small because our bigs don't rebound or score so its moot.
@Lost Ones @[censored] @ThunderWins @FF_pickups i agree, its not about HURTING feelings or making someone unhappy, its about matching up. I mean brooks starts perk NO MATTER WHAT 99% of all games *fake injuries included* Brooks is the only coach in the NBA to do that. Granted some were forced to cause of injuries but others just know that this guy cant guard this guy and so on and ect.
@[censored] @ThunderWins @FF_pickups "(Durant is playing PF more this year than last year)" Is that something to clap for because brooks made a small step? LMAO if a coach cant convince his lockerroom that his gameplan>there emotions those players shouldnt play
@ThunderWins @FF_pickups Again, deflecting credit where credit is due. Brooks does go small often (Durant is playing PF more this year than last year) just probably not as much as some people would want. Managing a team is more than managing lineups there are emotions involved, a locker room. If Brooks does not go small more often against the Heat in another Finals re-match I'd be surprised.
@FF_pickups and yet he's a top 5 coach LMAO, a true top 5 coach would play a 1 big lineup atleast 50% of the time
@FF_pickups Seems likeon average we are playing a better lineup than the competition
@PerkPose @FF_pickups KD makes every line better
@ThunderWins @FF_pickups so does lebron. This statistic is being used in a biased manner. No disrespect to FF
*saying
What Pickups is saving that for every game we lose by less then 7 Brooks through those points away by playing large most of the time.
@FF_pickups is plus 8.2 not good?
Jr smith starting Has always been a joke IMO
I would really like Brewer to get a few minutes this game.
@S4TISF4CTION I don't know that tonight is the best match up for him.... but if it's him or Fish... I know which one I'm taking.
If someone is game, let's play matchups for todays clippers game -
Who's guarding who?
@ThunderWins lol.... here we go. Jordan. Perk has done a good job against the Clips' center rotation in my opinion.
@Team Gatorade Bry Bry Who does Perkins guard?
@ThunderWins I know I don't put KD on Griffin for extended minutes. And obviously Thabo should get plenty of time on Chris Paul.
I suppose you could use Brewer to front Griffin and harass him a little. And maybe throw him at Crawford.
@Team Gatorade Bry Bry We could have used him in Denver.
@Team Gatorade Bry Bry Nah, I don't mean big minutes or anything tonight. I just don't want him rotting on the bench.
@S4TISF4CTION For sure. I think we needed him against Denver for sure.
But against the clips, we aren't forced to run as hard and we don't want KD banging with Griffin all night playing at the 4..... so therefore no need for Brewer to help fill minutes at the 3.
@S4TISF4CTION Few? he should play anytime we are lets one player is going to go All NBA on us

@ThunderWins I think so too but I don't think Brooks is ready to give him big minutes yet.
@S4TISF4CTION @qrex @ThunderWins like rick ross http://is.gd/Lfglw4
@Blood-Game @qrex @S4TISF4CTION @ThunderWins You're pushing it.
@qrex @S4TISF4CTION @ThunderWins someone pointed this out a few days ago, brewer might be screwing scotts wife.
@qrex @ThunderWins I know he's new, but he needs to get Brewer into a comfortable spot in the rotation soon so come playoff time we're not having mass confusion.
@S4TISF4CTION @ThunderWins Someone pointed this out a few day ago. Brooks treats Brewer like a rookie when he's far from it.
