Coming off a big game last night against the Spurs seemed to pose a big problem as the Thunder took on the rugged Pacers. Instead, nope.
To the Thunder, Thursday win over the Spurs didn’t do anything but add another game to the win column. To everyone else, it did a whole lot more.
A night after maybe the most frustrating loss of the season, the Thunder were in another bad fourth quarter spot Saturday in Milwaukee. But after a timeout, they turned it around.
A truly terrible loss for the Thunder in Minnesota, but only terrible in the sense that it was a frustrating, painful experience to watch it.
With the Wizards woefully shorthanded and playing the second night of a back-to-back, the Thunder’s focus was obviously on winning first, but along with it, to get better.
Like Serge Ibaka, the Thunder turned things around at halftime to eventually blow out the Blazers.
If this game was supposedly a must-win, well, the Thunder accomplished their objective. They won. But if the intention behind that proclamation was to put an emphasis on this game against Orlando to inspire a better, more focused performance, well, ehhhhhh.
