Friday Bolts – 12.2.11

KD tweeted this to someone last night after all the hubbub over Chris Paul: “I’m gonna be in Okc until they don’t want me anymore! Don’t worry about it.”

Cole Aldrich was the only Thunder player to show up at the facility yesterday. John Rohde of NewsOK tries to locate everyone: “Nick Collison: Getting a haircut. Whereabouts unknown. Nazr Mohammed: Worked out at Legacy Fit in Miami. Eric Maynor: “In a great mood” after a workout. Plans to return to Oklahoma City on Tuesday. Daequan Cook: Revealed he has not shaved in at least one month. #NoShaveNovember.”

Darnell Mayberry on KD taking exception to some ESPN First Take criticism: “Durant took exception to their criticism, specifically Douglas’ and fired back at the former Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowler. “These guys on first n take kill me, lol smh especially hugh Douglas, who is the dude? I thought that was emmit smith on tv just now,” Durant wrote. Durant has since deleted the message, as well as a series of subsequent related tweets after ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith got involved. “My man, nobody’s stopping you from showing up. The platform is yours if you want it. Why tweet when you can stand up and show up,” Smith responded. Durant replied that he wasn’t “ducking” anyone and would travel to the Bristol, Conn., studio to appear on the show if invited. Smith then wrote, “Assuming this is really Kevin Durant, tell me who you want to debate (and) what day? I’ll personally set it up.”

Good analysis on the new Derrick Rose Rule.

Amnesty updates: OKC still not cutting anyone.

John Hollinger of ESPN breaking down CP3 trades on OKC being a player: “Not happening. Move along. Nothing to see here.”

Officially, the Thunder will host the Magic in OKC on Christmas Day at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN.
