This site reviews stadiums and arenas and the Ford Center got its due: “The Ford Center sits right in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Countless things are under renovation surrounding the arena to make it very inviting. The great thing about downtown is that everything is within a reasonable walking distance. On top of that, the restaurants are great. If you plan on going out to eat before the game and want to be on a budget, you might want to check out The Spaghetti Warehouse (101 East Sheridan). It is a very nice restaurant that has quick seating and very affordable Italian food.”

After LeBron and ‘Melo both scored 40 last night, Kevin Durant tweeted: “And yall talkin bout me winnin a scorin title..hell no..melo n lebron get 40 too easy..can’t forget kobe n dwade, and dirk..wow.” KD is almost too humble. And I love that about him. I don’t think anyone gets 40 easier than KD. It took LeBron 33 shots and ‘Melo 28. Remember Durant’s 45 on 21 shots against Golden State?

With Cleveland’s loss yesterday, guess who has the NBA’s longest winning streak? GUESS. That’s right, the Thuhn-daa.

Darnell Mayberry on OKC standing pat yesterday: “When the Thunder passed on every trade offer that had come along by Thursday’s deadline, the decision left open the door for Oklahoma City to go on some kind of spree this summer. Whether general manager Sam Presti turns this off-season into his personal playground won’t be known until he begins making moves during the June draft. But it was Presti’s ability to maintain the option that explained why he stayed on the sidelines Thursday.”

Mike Baldwin looks at how yesterday’s deals affect the Thunder: “What’s the bottom line? Portland filled its biggest need, but the Trail Blazers’ biggest concern the final two months is whether All-Star Brandon Roy can completely heal from a nagging hamstring injury that’s sidelined him for three weeks. Houston improved slightly with Martin. But the Rockets already were perimeter oriented. Giving up Landry could come back to bite them. It appears to be a move geared more towards next season when Yao Ming returns. Dallas will benefit the most, but it was doubtful the Thunder would have passed the Mavericks in the standings anyway. Phoenix remains a viable contender to finish anywhere from fifth to eighth.”
