The position is open yet again as Dale Osbourne has accepted an assistant coaching position on Terry Stotts’ new staff in Portland. That makes two Thunder people Stotts has poached (the other being top scout David Vanterpool).
Osbourne is the second 66ers head coach to move to the NBA in the last nine months as Nate Tibbetts recently joined Byron Scott’s staff in Cleveland.
“Dale was a valued member of the Thunder, through his commitment and service to the organization, he has had an impact on both our team in Tulsa and Oklahoma City,” said Sam Presti in a release. “Dale has worked tirelessly in the coaching profession and is more than deserving of this opportunity. Our goal is to focus on the development of not only our players, but also our coaches and staff with the Thunder and 66ers, and we are thrilled to see another member of the 66ers coaching staff continue their career by joining an NBA bench.”

@MisterJohnsonOKC He got guaranteed money, whatever we do with him (maybe ends up in Tulsa), he is costing us. Shelden would have contributed and still had the hometown kid story

@novelisticbee0 I've been to all the OKC games in the A-T-L. Uncle Jeff dunked to win the game right in front of me and my son a couple of years ago! Last year kind of stunk, as OKC layed an egg. I expect the Thunder to exact their revenge this year!!!

Our own OKC Thunder take on the Los Angeles Clippers, Wednesday Nov 21 at 6:30pm. I got us and us only a Box suite to watch the game and chop it up together DailyThunder style.
