Kevin Durant has been named Western Player of the Month for March, the league announced Monday.
Al Jefferson was named it in the East.
Durant averaged 34.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.9 assists as the Thunder went 10-4. Durant is the first player since Michael Jordan in 1989-90 to average at least 33.0 points in three consecutive months.
This is Durant’s fourth player of the month this season. The only month he didn’t win was February (Blake Griffin). KD’s won 10 total in his career.
In March, Durant continued his streak of 25-point games (currently at 38), scored at least 30 nine times, at least 40 four times and had 51 against the Raptors which included a game-winner.
