Kendrick Perkins undergoes successful wrist surgery

by Royce Young on July 19, 2012 at 4:13 pm 14 Comments

The team announced Thursday that Kendrick Perkins underwent a successful procedure on his left wrist to repair a torn ligament. The injury happened during the Western Conference Finals.

This is the second surgery Perkins has had this offseason with him undergoing a procedure to repair a partially torn groin earlier in the summer.

Perkins will be ready for the beginning of training camp for the 2012-13 season.

When a player coming off injury and rehab has a rash of other injuries, sometimes it involves something other than just bad luck. When a player looks more fit than he plays sometimes there is another explanation.

Our purported 'enforcer' who never touched Artest after the heinous elbow to Harden seems to have a never ending litany of injuries. Hopefully, our 'enforcer' will be injury free come October.

 @El Prez

Care to explain what formula you use to arrive at your TSN percentage?  I would say you're just grabbing them out of thin air, but I know you better than that.

Perkins' many injuries should have been an opportunity for Brooks to play Collision more, but he missed it. Badly

 @SteveThunderfan Correctomundo. A player is never going to take himself out of the lineup. It's up to the coach to make that decision for him and Brooks blew it.
