Caught, again.
Kevin Martin has been fined $5,000 for receiving a second flopping violation, the league announced Wednesday.
The flop happened Jan. 20 against the Nuggets. Martin went up for a long jumper and with Andre Miller nearby, completely faked contact and went to the ground (video is above). Major flop and one very much deserving of being penalized. Martin was warned for a flop Nov. 12 against the Pistons where he exaggerated contact in a fairly similar fashion.
Martin is just the fourth player that has been fined joining Reggie Evans, Gerald Wallace and J.J. Barea. In total, 12 players have been warned.
The next violation will result in a $10,000 fine.

I'm actually warming up to a Maynor & Orton & Dallas pick for Jimmer Fredette. Sacto NEEDS a true point guard. And like Royce says, the Kings use Jimmer in the wrong way. He needs to be used as an outside threat/floor spacer, not a point guard.
I love this video...looool. Its quite possible that wind alone can knock KMart down.
tubasket.com: The Oklahoma City Thunder will pursue Pete Mickeal when his contract with FC Barcelona is over.
@diddoff here's the article translated
"The Oklahoma City Thunder are increasingly making efforts to build a franchise around champion Kevin Durant ,Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka . They are the three pillars of a team hungry for titles to which the next season, in which they are thinking, you could add a veteran luxury. As can overtakeTUBASKET.com , the Thunder seek the signing of forward Pete Mickeal (34, 1.99 m.) once completed his contract with BarçaRegal this summer. see him as the ideal man to bring experienceto a young team and also to add more weapons to their arsenal: they like their post game , which is not just one of their starters in the game outside the Swiss Thabo Sefolosha , more inclined to play facing the basket. 's interest is such that emissaries of theThunder have followed Mickeal live in recent weeks, in Malagaand Barcelona . Among them the very general manager of the franchise, Sam Presti . 's signing by the Thunder would be a great climax after a successful career in Spain : three ACB League ,one Euroleague , two King's Cups and four Super Cups , so far.Selected with the number 58 draft pick in 2000 by the Mavericks, Mickeal never debut in the NBA . was part of the staff of theKnicks at the start of the season 2000-01 , and was on theHouston Rockets between September 2002 and January 2003 .But he stayed with the thorn stuck playing a competitive game in aleague that, according to him, is a natural fit. "In the NBA, everything is different, you can use either the body and will not be missing. This year, in the NBA, if you 'flopping' you get a ticket, increasingly high. The 'flopping' is not basketball. In the NBA there is more contact in the low post, here it is the minimum necessary. Why? For me this is not basketball, but nothing happens " , said Mickeal in October, after the friendly against the Dallas Mavericks . Just what we are looking theThunder : hardness, post game and experience. "
A 34 year old french forward. What the?
@diddoff he's American .. Played for the Cincinnati Bearcats ... Oan - who remembers Melvin helicopter Levitt??
@PJthe3 bka ... @diddoff Oh! Yeah you're right.
@diddoff is it before the end of our season
@f5alcon My guess is it would be for next season
good to hear
http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterockets/2013/01/rockets-close-to-an-agreement-with-royce-white-to-return-to-team/
The hardest path I see Miami taking is:
First Round: Milwaukee
Second Round: Brooklyn (Brook Lopez could give them fits)
Third Round: Indiana
I believe if this is the path to the Finals, Miami will fall before then. With my vote going this way:
30 % Milwaukee
20% Brooklyn
50% Indiana
@DeMolay_Thunder Thats one of the weaker paths. No Chicago or Boston???????
Boston
Chicago
New York
Would be the most difficult path.
@MostJadedGamer @DeMolay_Thunder Boston is any good. Chicago isn't going to be a threat unless Rose is back and fully healthy. The fact is, the East just sucks in general, and the only tough series we might see is Miami-New York.
@DeMolay_Thunder
Nets are a first round exit .
PHilly, bulls, pacers would be best. I dont know if the rankings give you this but. I hope so.
@PerkPunt I had Brooklyn beating the Bulls in the first round. Philly is number 9 right now so in theory that could be one of their paths.
@DeMolay_Thunder @Lost Ones @PerkPunt Are we presuming a Chicago team with or without Rose? Without him, they aren't much of a threat against Miami. They'll make Miami work with great defense, but Miami will ultimately outscore them.
@Lost Ones @PerkPunt And you may be right. I am liking the way the Nets have been playing lately. That's all. That series I think really would be a 4/5 toss up.
@DeMolay_Thunder @PerkPunt Brooklyn beating bulls? hell nah bulls about to be a problem with indiana for many teams.
Martin happy in OKC January, 23, 2013Jan 2310:24AM ETBy Nick Borges | ESPN.comRecommend1Comments2EmailPrintKevin Martin was part of the package Oklahoma City acquired from Houston when James Harden and a couple other player were sent to the Rockets. Martin admits he felt pressure as Harden played a major role in OKC's success since he was drafted. "It's tough. But I think that's where my personality comes in," Martin told ESPN's J.A. Adande. "Just staying level, don't get too high, don't get too low, just be confident in what you did over the last eight years in the league. Coming in, trying to fit in and not mess up." Martin is having a solid season coming off the bench and he's averaging 15.0 points, while shooting 43.5 percent on three-point shots. The shooting guard will be a free agent in July and he will likely take a major salary reduction and re-sign with the Thunder. "When your two big dogs come back in, you just go back to your third-man role," Martin said. "I accepted it. This is probably the happiest I've been in my career since my Sacramento days
I'll post this part again...
The shooting guard will be a free agent in July and he will likely take a major salary reduction and re-sign with the Thunder.
@okcjim that's no quote though. That's just the authors opinion...take it with a grain of salt
@thunder_mike @Tronchaser @dollarbillrussell @okcjim @tygablood Utah.
@Tronchaser @dollarbillrussell @okcjim @justin_mia @tygablood Off the top of my head, I'm trying to think of a team that has money AND a good situation for him. Miami, NY, and Memphis are good situations but no money left. Lakers, Mavs, and (Seattle) have money to spend but are a dead situation. If K-Mart leaves it might be to the Nets, Wolves, or a dark horse like maybe Indiana
@dollarbillrussell @okcjim @justin_mia @tygablood 7 or 8 million would be a bargain price for his level. Ihope we do, but I'm not gonna hold my breath for it.
@okcjim @justin_mia @tygablood If we can get him at that price Presti is going to look like a damn genius
@justin_mia @tygablood
Sure would be nice if we could get him in the 7-8 million dollar range.
@okcjim @tygablood If he's not traded at the deadline I think Presti might have some idea that he would.
@tygablood @okcjimIt's a guess but I like seeing it from a national perspective. That is the hope from most of us but it's hard to know if what you hope for as a fan is realistic. It'll be interesting to see what major means.
I don't know if it's indicative of anything. But OKC has a bigger lead in the division than Miami does over the 9th place East team.
#Themoreyouknow
@DeMolay_Thunder Unfortunately... i don't see any team in the east that's going to be able to stop them from getting to the finals. So the stats are nice.. but don't think it means much until playoff time
@neo12 Call it a hunch. But I don't think Miami wants to play Milwaukee.
@neo12 @DeMolay_Thunder I don't think anyone REALLY neutralizes Lebron, well cept for maybe himself.
@DeMolay_Thunder @neo12
PHilly might get the best of mia if they caught them sleeping
@PerkPunt @neo12 I think they have the best chance of taking them down. Or if Atlanta plays to 100% capacity for 4 games.
@neo12 I think it may be more of a "It's just the Bucks" mentality.
@DeMolay_Thunder @neo12
Pacers are who i'd like to see play miami
@DeMolay_Thunder Why do they have trouble with the bucks? because mbah a moute neutralizes lebron?
@neo12 @DeMolay_Thunder they get to coast, they dont have to fight for top seed

@MJOKC
On a completely unrelated note--and one that shouldn't spark any kind of altercation with you . . . I'm going to IHOP today. :)
@ThunderChick2010 @MJOKC http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lrvs7lez1j1qksmkmo1_500.gif
@MJOKC BRING IT BRO
I know people have cried and complained about Kds new anger(and cussing) but i love it.We gotta take over opponents courts.
@Lost Ones KD has always been "not nice" on the court. It's kind of weird that it took a nike marketing campaign for people to notice. He's always been a little bit nasty though. I guess his good guy image overshadowed it though.
@Kevin Durant's Pocket Guide To Defying Physics @Lost Ones nah. This is a different level of nastiness tho ... He's not bitching about calls or anything, he's not passively letting defenders dictate how he plays ... & he's far more fiery with his team the crowd & the opposition ... Notice the last few games, Russ gives KD the ball & gets outta his way, this is all due to him showing that fire .
@PJthe3 bka ... @Kevin @Lost I was at the Brooklyn game sitting in floor seats when KD got ejected. He's was REALLY letting them refs have it. He gets ejected and then high fives kids on the way out. He reverts back to KD the nice guy when he's off the court, but on it, Wooooo weeeee, do NOT piss him off.
@Lost Ones they tripping .. This is absolutely what OKC needed as much as anything else

@MJOKC @Lost Ones You know who talks a lot of trash? K-Mart.
@OBoy Jones III @MJOKC @okcjim @justin_mia you know Russ was still seething about harden getting bowed... He was the first one there from the far baseline ... That's what I love about Russ too ... He told a fan last nite shut the f up ... That's G to say in your hometown .
@MJOKC @okcjim @PJthe3 bka ... @justin_mia One of my favorite Thunder trash talk moments
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzNnlMEYQfM
I don't know what Russ was saying to MWP but it looks awesome.
@okcjim nah he talk slick tho... He curses refs out too on the low ... I view him as a savvy shht talker ... & I don't think that's less impressive than talkin tuff ... If you do it effectively, it don't matter how!
I'm not saying they are thugs but trash talk not in thug mode sounds like Carlton from the Fresh Prince. Just not real impressive on the court. Trash talk pretty much has to be thug.
@okcjim @justin_mia @MJOKC @Lost you can't really talk super thug wit a squeaky voice ... He prolly say shit like imma keep shootin ya fukkn eyes out ... He prolly act real light skin if you know what I mean lol
@justin_mia @MJOKC @okcjim @PJthe3 bka ...
Reggie tries to steal other players women in front of them. Reggie was no angel
@MJOKC @okcjim @PJthe3 bka ... Reggie Miller another good example.
@justin_mia lool is that true? i've always wondered, he looks like he'd always have something slick to say
@okcjim @PJthe3 bka ... @MJOKC I've heard K-Mart's trash talk picked up by the game mics sometimes, and heard some when I went to the game in Brooklyn. His mouth belies his frail demeanor, is all I'd say.
@justin_mia @MJOKC @Lost Ones I like all of our guys to not back down but one flagrant foul and Kmarts out for the year. Dude is tiny.
@justin_mia @MJOKC yea he does on the low
@PJthe3 bka ... odom likes grease that's how he got fat
@PJthe3 bka ... @justin_mia @MJOKC @Lost
I wonder if his trash talk is thug or intelligent? He doesn't talk thug in interviews. I wonder if he does when he's getting after it.
@okcjim @justin_mia @MJOKC @Lost Ones Lol.. He fell out like he got shot in the kidney
@justin_mia @MJOKC @Lost Ones yeah Kmart was talkin extra greasy to odom I think last nite
@justin_mia @MJOKC @Lost Ones
You know what was funny was when KMart got consumed after he got that rebound late and then just went into defense mode. That's what I look like when I get a rebound at the Y. You could tell he was preparing himself to get hammered.
@MJOKC on here there have been complaints.... hell im 10000x more PG then i am in real life on here my self. i guess the argument is that the thunder basketball is suppose to be "kid friendly"
