Forget the season starting, the best thing about today is Stephen Jackson and Kevin Durant’s anticipated track “Lonely at the Top” dropping. (You can buy it on iTunes.)
And you know what? I dig it. I really do. Jackson is good and KD is solid. It’s not your typical NBA-player-wants-to-be-Kanye cringefest. It’s kind of… good.
A sampling of KD’s lines: “Young boy in the game and I’m 23 money like a vet why fret over a hundred g’s … Trey five on my back for my OG, never overlook a single a word that he told me.”
So yeah, pretty much the next Stairway to Heaven if you ask me.
