Via Operation Sports, it appears these are the Thunder’s new alternate jerseys. Navy blue and white. No orange/red. No yellow. No “Thunder” blue. No “OKC” across the chest. Actually nothing across the chest, in fact.
(As pointed out in the comments, “Thunder” is misspelled. Does that mean these aren’t legit? Or did the team change their name for some reason to Thudner? What does it mean!?!)
When the Thunder unveiled their current uniform set, it was met with mostly negative criticism. And something tells me the alternates aren’t going to gather rave reviews. But the main uniforms have grown on most and more than likely, these will too. Because let’s face it, Kevin Durant would look pretty cool playing basketball in a bath robe.
Much like the Spurs new alternates though, there’s a ton of blank space and a unique addition of putting “Thunder” down the side of it. It’s hard not wonder what the theme is here with the open terrain on the uni, leading one to believe maybe it’s a clear-out for the addition of advertisements in the future.
After the jump, a picture of the shorts:

If these are indeed the Thunder’s alternate set, count me among the disappointed. I honestly don’t completely hate the look and can appreciate the effort of going for a “classic” ABA style look. And I genuinely like the color scheme of simply navy and white. (The Thunder seem to go to color extremes though. The main jerseys have five different colors on them. The new ones have just two.)
I’m a big fan of Portland’s use of stripes in their uniforms and think the Thunder missed a good opportunity to do something similar with these. They very easily could’ve lined the “Thunder” part with the other team colors or put a small accent somewhere else. I love the plain blue and white but a little small color pop somewhere on them would’ve been really cool.
There’s just something missing is seems. They’re too conservative, too plain. Too much blank space. Maybe they’ll look better on the actual players in real life, but as they stand now, they give off a pretty “meh” vibe. I like the shorts though.
