It might’ve rotated out of the news cycle and becoming more memory than reality to many, but Moore is still in a complete state of devastation and there’s still a lot of work to be done as Oklahoma recovers.
Kevin Durant is still doing his part. After giving $1 million to the Red Cross to aid with relief efforts, he coordinated with Nike to organize a donation of $1 million worth of Nike products to those affected, along with all profits from sales of the KD V Elites sold on Nike.com and in Nike stores between May 23 and June 15.
The money from those sales will be donated equally between KaBOOM!, a national non-profit that builds playgrounds for children in need, and the Moore Public School Foundation, an Oklahoma non-profit supporting Moore Schools.
We’ve known about Nike’s efforts for a couple weeks, but this is a reminder because there’s just a week left. If you’re thinking about buying KD’s new shoes, do it now and help Oklahoma out in the process.
