Report: Mike Miller picks the Grizzlies over OKC

Hey, at least Derek Fisher is back, right?

According to Marc Stein of ESPN.com, Mike Miller has notified the Grizzlies that he’s choosing them.

The Thunder pushed hard to get him, but likely the fact Miller has a strong connection to Memphis having played six seasons for the Grizzlies.

That likely puts a cap on the Thunder’s free agent travails as they have 15 players under contract and are still under the tax.

Miller would have been a very solid addition because of his ability to shoot from the outside and play a role. He could’ve added some veteran insurance on the Thunder’s bench, which will be much younger this season relying on Jeremy Lamb and Reggie Jackson.

I'm trying to decide what's worse... losing out on Mike Miller to a Western Conference rival that badly needed a shooter, or knowing that we're going to trot out 49 year old Derek Fisher. What a bad day.

Oh well I'd rather him be on the Grizz than Heat. With Westbrook we are still the team to beat in the West.

Good. We wouldve had to get extra ATC staff to cover both he and Scowl's health probs and hold the AED for our veteran leader -__-

What's the Thunder's final roster?  Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka, Thabo, Perkins, Collison, Jackson, Lamb, Jones, Fisher, Thabeet, Orton, Adams, Liggins. who am I missing?

As Promised Roberson has a guaranteed contract and Jarret could make the team making Liggins or Orton expendable.  It just depends on what they want.
