Per Ramona Shelburne of ESPNLA.com, the Thunder are said to be “frontrunners” for Pau Gasol.
The Thunder would be offering a severely discounted deal, hoping Gasol would choose the prospect of winning over a bigger deal elsewhere. And things are looking pretty good on that front.
What would it mean for the rest of the roster? Things would be a bit complicated with Kendrick Perkins, as in do you start Gasol at center (or start Ibaka), or use him off the bench? And where does Steven Adams fit into that? My feeling is that stuff would sort itself out naturally, because you don’t pass on the chance to land an offensively gifted player like Gasol.
