The Thunder announced their seven-game 2012-13 preseason schedule Friday afternoon including two games at The Peake, one game in Tulsa and one in Wichita, Kansas. Here’s the full schedule:
Oct. 10 — Thunder at Rockets — 7:00 CT, Hidalgo, TX
Oct. 12 — Thunder at Jazz — 8:00 CT, Salt Lake City
Oct. 16 — Bobcats vs. Thunder — 7:00 CT, Oklahoma City
Oct. 19 — Suns vs. Thunder — 7:00 CT, Tulsa
Oct. 21 — Nuggets vs. Thunder — 7:00 CT, Oklahoma City
Oct. 23 — Thunder at Bulls — 7:00 CT, Chicago
Oct. 24 — Mavericks vs. Thunder — 7:00 CT, Wichita, Kansas

Spain still has Brazil left to play, as well. Russia only has Australia. Even if Russia loses, they will still finish ahead of Spain as the first tiebreaker is head-to-head.
Assuming Spain wins their final game, the US and Spain would meet in the semi-finals instead of the final.

Our whole town just lost power for an hour . . . The upside was we got to go out and enjoy the full moon and stars without the streetlights. :)
@ThunderChick2010 There's something oddly comforting about the sound of no power. The pure quiet, with nothing interrupting it.
Hopefully you managed to keep cool, even with how late it is.

My sister's husband works for BGE (our electric company) though and he had to work pretty much everyday non stop in the heat during the outage.. miserable indeed.
@justin_mia @ThunderChick2010 Yeah, it wears thin pretty quick, but if you've lost power for a few hours, it's not so bad. In 2007, there was a bad ice storm during finals and a huge swath of Norman lost power (including my apartment). We were down for 24 hours (including my desktop, and I had a final the next day!), but the quiet was initially comforting.

Yes, an hour is nothing! We went without for three days after an ice storm a couple of winters ago . . . miserable. I can't imagine a week in the heat and humidity.

I've lived here since I was seven--traveled all around--but this is just my town. (Like in the song: Where I was raised . . . Where I keep all my yesterdays.) We're certainly not tiny and rural like the one depicted in the song, but very "small city" . . . about 17K. One thing I really like is that we're close enough to visit OKC or Norman any time (about 30-45 min.), but we don't have the hassles of the city. Since you asked, allow me to subject you to this:

Anyone else following Olympic swimming? Missy Franklin is only 17, she's setting world records. Katie Ledecky just set an American record and won gold in the 800 meters and she's only 15! This blows my mind. I can't imagine being that much younger than your competitors and just abusing them like that.

I hope PJ3 gets ton's of minutes this preseason and show how good he can be as a stretch 4. What I mean by that is, scoring in the post and being able to defend players like Battier (stretch 4's).
