The Thunder announced Thursday they have assigned Jeremy Lamb to the Tulsa 66ers.
Lamb obviously was seen as a prize prospect in the James Harden deal, but hasn’t factored in at all in the regular rotation. It’s pretty simple with the Thunder though. If you’re a young player and you’re not getting playing time, you’re not just going to show up, put on a warmup and sit on the bench.
Lamb has appeared in eight games this season averaging 2.1 points in 4.3 minutes.
Don’t be surprised if Lamb is called right back up soon. The Thunder tend to do that. Let a guy run to Tulsa to get a little playing time and then return right away back to the team.
What’s pretty clear is that the Thunder are looking to build a powerhouse in Tulsa. Lamb, DeAndre Liggins, Daniel Orton — be sure to answer your phone the next time it rings, Perry.
Lamb will be in uniform for the 66ers Nov. 30 against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

I was lying in my bed, looking up at the starry night and thought, "Where the hell is my ceiling!?"
how did the dead baby cross the road?
@SeeMoreLamb i'm out.
@OBoy Jones III it was stapled to the chicken

@SeeMoreLamb try again
@CLthunderfan ok
I got 22 points how do i get more?
@SeeMoreLamb get an avatar, so people can recognize you better
@Barry Amenema i like it. you're on of those idea guys aren't ya
@SeeMoreLamb People have to like you. Say something witty and charming, get a point. Say something dumb and get nothing.
@Tronchaser Point for you
Marcus Dove used to be in the Thunder's organization... you know where he went to college?
@SeeMoreLamb Stop.
I think the Thunder should sign James Anderson. Just for the hell of it. Bring him back home (OK State), see if he finds a way
@SeeMoreLamb Spurs signed him again a few days ago, I believe.
@Jooseppi really?
@Jooseppi Awe
@SeeMoreLamb Yes.
@SeeMoreLamb alright time to chill out on the OSU stuff.
Are bench is getting thin...is Presti planning a move?
@9th Wonderous It's safe to say that Presti is ALWAYS planning something.
@Tronchaser @9th Wonderous If he trades, trading for a $1-2 million / yr guard might be the most likely.

Who says no?? shoot you can even add the dallas pick and I still would do it.
ok heres the correct trade lol
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=cfqwx8w
@CLthunderfan just because Perkins is one of the few that can legitimately defend Howard, I would hold on to him
@Barry Amenema looks like it did to me, we still won. haha but seriously how often will howard go 17-20 from the line?
@CLthunderfan Hack-a-Dwight doesn't always work
http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=310113025
@CLthunderfan @SeeMoreLamb If the Lakers don't make the playoffs, @kennygee90 will explode, and it won't be pretty.
@CLthunderfan Lol true.
@SeeMoreLamb psh all you have to do with howard is foul him and send him to the line. nothing else. And by the rate the lakers are winning right now they will never make the playoffs lol
@CLthunderfan Phoenix should be all over that...like yesterday!
@Barry Amenema I know right!! haha .sarcasim.
@CLthunderfan
You didn't actually link the trade lol
@cleandoe oh damnit your right i copyed and pasted the wrong thing h/o
@CLthunderfan worst 15 minutes of my life. Never doing that again
@SeeMoreLamb worst 15 minutes of your life??
@CLthunderfan I didn't think that you were trying to show us a trade
@CLthunderfan the trade machine. I did it awhile back lol
The league office probably actively wants teams to send players down to the D-league so they can say "look at all the talent that has played there" and "look at the call-ups" = "the D-league is a success". I don't think it is so much.
@Crow Difficult to replicate a minor league setup. Players can't join the NBA until late, and unlike baseball, waiting a few years to get called up isn't desirable due to shorter NBA careers. Wonder how much would be different though if teams could maintain five or six D-League players in addition to their 15-man active roster. Maybe not much.
@Jooseppi Lots of alternatives. Owners don't really seem to care much. they like the contrast between d-league and nba and not having to play the d-leaguers much at all. Players union maybe should care more about it, offer better ideas harder.
Eric Maynor is soooooooo slow now. Did y'all see that shot clock violation? Where he just dribbled it forever, then lost it, then jogged to the ball when there was 3 seconds on the shot clock and then just fired it up off the back board for a shot clock violation. Just one of his moments
@SeeMoreLamb maybe he has been coached into and brought into the i'm a ball-control cool hand PG thing too much?
Duncan will sit out tonight vs Miami=loss for Spurs
@tydude Duncan, Parker, Ginobli all out.
