The Thunder have won sports.
Well, at least according to ESPN the Magazine.
They have released their yearly “Ultimate Standings” which compiles a total score from these categories: Fan Relations, Bang-for-Buck, Ownership, Affordability, Stadium Experience, Players, Coaching and Title Track. And in all of that, the Thunder were tops, ahead of the Green Bay Packers, the San Antonio Spurs, the Indiana Pacers and the Memphis Grizzlies.
Overall, Oklahoma City was ranked second in Fan Relations, seventh in Bang-for-Buck, eighth in Ownership, fifth in Affordability, 16th in Stadium Experience, second in Players, 22nd in Coaching and 39th in Title Track.
Ahead of the Thunder in Fan Relations and Players? The Spurs.
The Thunder were ranked sixth overall last season, 25th in 2010 and 57th in 2009.
Interesting stat in the prior 3 on 3 post about the team's playoff record when KD has 4+ assists & when he doesn't. If we can have 3 sort of initiators in KD, Russ, & James getting 4+ dimes a night, don't think we'll need a 'true' PG to win multiple chips.
