Thunder trade Gomes for two future 2nd round picks

As part of the deal sending Jerryd Bayless to the Celtics and Courtney Lee to the Grizzlies, the Thunder traded Ryan Gomes to Boston for two future conditional second round picks.

With the move, the Thunder drop about $2.3 million below the luxury tax threshold and now have two open roster spots, making room for a new signing to aid with Russell Westbrook’s absence, or possibly a larger trade.

Gomes appeared in five games for the Thunder this season averaging 1.2 points.

Make a trade for Shumpert.... Sefolosha and a second pick or two should do it... Shumpert only makes 1.7 million this year. That puts us at more like 4 million under the luxury tax. Fill out the roster by signing Shannon Brown from FA and that D-League guy.

Dominator I wouldn't mind Shumpert at all he is a little overrated but he is better than sefolosha and would be an inmediate upgrade, he can score and isn't afraid to shoot the ball and can get hot behind the arc I would offer Thabo and those second round picks who knows maybe it can happen

Possibility Presti ends up the next GM in Boston? I dunno how likely but it is possible if Danny Ainge is willing to step back enough or if fired.  It would change the feel of all the Boston trades with the Thunder a bit.

When is Presti's contract up? Same year as Durant free agency?

Does any one in the media know for sure or has the Thunder kept that secret? I think it is a secret and that they just aid "multi-year deal". But I'd push for that answer.

KD4theWin not really valuable at all. It's 31-50 protected and 56-60 protected also. If the pick falls between those two ranges then we loose it all together. Basically worthless. All draft pick stuff you can find therealgm.com
