by Royce Young on October 22, 2012 at 11:10 am 30 Comments

One down.

The Thunder announced Monday the team has waived point guard Walker Russell.

Russell appeared in one preseason game for the Thunder and recorded five points and one assist in six minutes of action.

Oklahoma City’s roster now stands at 18.

PG Positions were already filled.  Just keep the revolving door open.  Make it easy on yourself

just watched the hou long NBA.com breackdown of last nights  L@ker game, here are my thoughts:

L@kers are  "Hollywood as hell"

Ron -Ron looks like he was wearing make-up

It looks like all they did in practice was learn new ways for them to toss lobs to DHoward. They must be fighting for the title "lob city".

Also it seems like a good conclusion as typical mike brown practices tend to look like this ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8tYzrIoSKE )

L@ker's bench is horrible.

Does the NBA have any small deadlines for setting a roster a lathe NFL? i doubt it, but it would help with WHEN to know the final 15 is set for the start of the season

I was just thinking about depth and the specific players they need in practice (to make the those who actually get PT better), and then I thought: does Thabo ever guard KD in practice? I'm sure KD would have his way, but it would be interesting to watch. Thabo's got some length too.

@ashar00f I'm sure he does. I know they have been putting PJ3 on him in practice quite a bit.

Do we know at all if PJ3's sore knee is related to his reported condition?

I'm pretty sure we know exactly who the 15 will be after last night. Starting 5, PJ3, Reggie, Maynor, Harden, Liggins, Collison, Aldrich, Cook, Thabeet, Hayward. Even though the last 2 didn't play at all. They'll keep Thabeet for his length and to have another big man (take turn fouling with cole) and Hayward I have no idea why.

@elginthunder They'll keep Thabeet and Lazar because they have guaranteed money.

Poured one out for Lil Russ, well all I have is coffee.. And it's hours old..and it's no more then a gulp..but still seems appropriate. Who's next to cut? My guess is Thompson.
