James Harden listed as day to day, re-evaluated Tuesday

The team released this late Monday updating James Harden’s status:

James Harden continued to undergo tests today in Oklahoma City that followed NBA protocol for the concussion he suffered in yesterday’s contest against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Harden participated in a series of limited activities per NBA guidelines, but has additional steps that must be taken under the league-mandated concussion policy before he can make his return to the court.
He will be re-evaluated tomorrow and is currently listed as day-to-day.

If you somehow missed it, Harden suffered a concussion Sunday against the Lakers because Metta World Peace tried to elbow his head off.

As to if Harden will be available Tuesday is up in the air as he has to pass league mandated concussion tests before he’s even allowed to play. Then there’s the fact the game doesn’t mean much to Oklahoma City and the Thunder should be able to handle the Kings without him. I would expect the team to err on the side of extreme caution with Harden’s availability.

No decision has been made on World Peace’s punishment for the play, but one is expected to come sometime Tuesday.
