Kevin Durant on playing overseas: “Thinking about it. It’s looking like more a chance I stay here than anything … I don’t think we’re going to give into a deal just because we want the season to start.”

Serge Ibaka put up five blocks — in the first half alone — in Spain’s gold medal win in Eurobasket. And not only that, but he impacted the game more than the five blocks would suggest. He pretty much swung momentum to Spain’s side while France was making a push.

Also, Ibaka turned 22 over the weekend too. Think about that for a second.

The Beaumont Enterprise on the Perk-Westbrook thing: “Perkins has a friendly, childlike persona so it’s likely he simply took friendly jabs at Westbrook. But who knows? Regardless, both Perkins and Westbrook will play a large part in the Thunder’s future — whenever that future begins and the current NBA lockout ends.”

Aubrey McClendon on new OPUBCO owner Phil Anschutz: “The only issue I have with Phil is his partial ownership of the Lakers — we will have to have some further conversations about that.”

Pretty low turnout for Philly vs. DC game. I think people are tiring of these games and are about ready for the real deal.

Darnell Mayberry on the Thunder’s mini-camp in Austin: “The Thunder crew even got a cameo by San Antonio’s Tim Duncan, a four-time champion, three-time Finals MVP, two-time league MVP and 13-time All-Star. Former All-Star and champion Michael Finley also made an appearance. Think Durant & Co. learned a thing or two from them? Think at some point over those four days, without a coach in sight, the Thunder got better?”

KD with some solid football commentary: “Just found out that Tom Brady is 1st player in NFL history to pass for 400+ yds in game following 500-yard performance. In other words, he’s the BEST. Hope none of y’all try to disagree with me on that.”

Big market owners hawkish on a hard cap? Interesting.
