The Thunder’s magic number for the No. 2 seed in the West is two games, meaning a win tonight over the Pelicans would take it to one. So what I’m saying is, the Thunder’s magic number should be one by the end of the evening.

The Pelicans are in rest-their-players mode, meaning Anthony Davis is out tonight. Which stinks, because he didn’t play against the Thunder a single time this season. This game was already set to be a dud most likely and with Durant’s 25-point streak gone to keep our attention, watching Davis soar would’ve been fun. Alas, now it’s Jeff Withey. Oh boy.

Still, can’t afford to trip and fall here and make things too awful interesting. Because lose tonight and now the final three games take a different shape.

Three Big Things

1. Stay healthy. Nobody get hurt, OK

2. Get ready. Second game back with the entire starting five, so another night to work out some rotational kinks and such.

3. Don’t play terrible. Probably the most important thing.
