Bulls by the Horns on the game: “Durant didn’t do it alone. Russell Westbrook (28 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists) lit things up, going 8-for-15 from the field and 12-for-13 at the line. Oklahoma City had a one-two punch on offense. The Bulls — in the fourth quarter anyway — had one swing and a miss. Lots of misses actually. Look, the Thunder are a good team that was playing at home in a season opener and Chicago was a team missing its second-best scorer. The loss makes sense.”

Ben Golliver of CBS Sports on Russell Westbrook’s game: “Russell Westbrook was simply devastating for the Thunder last night, slashing all the way through. He was lethal off in-bounds, off the rebound, and especially in transition. Derrick Rose matched him in points and assists. It was a classic point guard battle, though Westbrook killed Rose in terms of efficiency.”

Scott Van Pelt talked about Kevin Durant in his One Big Thing yesterday.

Darnell Mayberry with some thoughts: “Remember all those odd-ball inbounds plays from a year ago? The ones that led to 26-foot prayers? It looks like the coaching staff spent some quality time shoring up that area. Russell Westbrook scored on a pretty inbounds pass from Thabo Sefolosha with 8:21 left in the first quarter. It was one of the easiest buckets of the night. Keep an eye on how those plays evolve throughout the season.”

Traffic to the arena was awful last night.

Some more thoughts on Thunder-Bulls.

Blog-A-Bull: “But with the Thunder defense picking up, and featuring their own closer in Kevin Durant on their end of the floor, the Bulls have to rely on Rose to be spectacular, instead of it being a nice luxury as he begins his 3rd season. The Bulls got the guy help, but a majority of it was in a suit.”

There’s a person on Twitter called @KD35sneighbor and he’s uploaded some videos on YouTube including KD eating breakfast. I’m assuming this is some sort of marketing campaign. If not… weird.

Thunderground Radio is having a call-in show after the Pistons game Friday. So remember that. It’s at 9:30 CT at this location.
