Tuesday Bolts – 11.24.09

Programming note: This wonderful set of bolts was not in fact done by Royce. When I talked to him last night, he gave me the green light to give you all some bolts today. He felt bad for those of you going through bolt withdraws. If there is anything off, feel free to call me out and I’ll change it!

Thanks,

Mrs. Daily Thunder

Let’s win tonight! “We want to bounce back and play better,” Brooks said. “We want to be more consistent with our energy. Last game I thought we started off the game a step too slow. We can’t afford to do that against Utah. They’re a very strong team, especially on their home floor.”

The title of this article gives me the chills:Oklahoma City can count four top-five picks from the last three drafts on its roster — Durant (No. 2 overall), Green (No. 5), Westbrook (No. 4, 2008) and Harden (No. 3, 2009) — and already has beaten Orlando, San Antonio and Miami this season.”

Jazz look for a season-high fourth straight victory tonight:Utah is holding teams to 90.3 points and 41.5 percent shooting during its winning streak. The Jazz will try to extend that run against an Oklahoma City team that shot 37.2 percent from the field in Sunday’s 101-85 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Thunder (7-7) matched a franchise record with 15 blocks and out rebounded the defending NBA champions 51-49, but they committed 19 turnovers – six by second-year point guard Russell Westbrook.”

The 66ers tip off this weekend: “The rebirth of the professional sports scene in downtown Tulsa continues this weekend as the Tulsa 66ers NBA D-League team will make their debut in the newly renovated Tulsa Convention Center.  The 66ers are coached by Nate Tibbetts and are owned by the Oklahoma City Thunder.”

KD’s first blog: “I am a big fan of Twitter, Facebook and other social media. It’s a lot of fun being social with everybody who is a basketball fan, who loves to watch us play and loves to watch me play. That’s why I do this. It’s pretty cool just to meet some of the people I’ve met so far on Twitter and Facebook. There’s just a lot of great basketball fans who respect the game and really know me as a player.”

I know Royce normally has more but I’m sure you guys can find some as well! There will be a pregame primer tonight as well as a post game recap, so come back tonight.
